Rowan Oxmoor Center — Attraction in Louisville

Everyone I encountered was kind. They made my daughter feel at ease getting her ears pierced for the first time. I’m leaving 2 stars because when the gun jammed and the back would not go on the girl doing the piercing requested a new earring to put in her ear and the girl she asked told her “no, we don’t want to open a new one for that” and came over and forced the back on her earring. Fast forward to changing her earrings out for the first time and we had to use pliers to remove that earring which was not a pleasant experience. I feel as if the lady I’m assuming was the boss would have given the girl doing the piercing a new one when she requested it, this would not have been an issue. This also means we purchased a set of earrings that we can no longer use. When I reached out and said I understand mistakes happen and asked if they could just replace the loss of useable earrings, I was told that I waited too long to call them. I then reminded the lady on the phone that when getting ears pierced you can’t remove the earrings for a certain period of time so there was no way to know it was messed up until the recommended time had passed and we were allowed to remove it and she said there was nothing that could be done and they would not be replacing it. I understand mistakes/ accidents happen but the lack of accountability and willingness to fix it left me not recommending...

Have been wanting to get my baby girl's ears pierced for a while but our pediatrician's office doesn't do ear piercing there. I was sad that I would have to wait a long time until I felt comfortable just going to "a place in the mall" but then found out about Rowan! I was immediately so excited that they would be able to do a baby as well as everyone being licensed nurses doing the piercings! Rowan was great! I booked an appointment arrived and they went over everything with me there. Gave me after care before the piercing which was helpful with a baby. Nurse was so kind and really wanted to take her time to make sure the piercings would match (because baby girl was very wiggly) and she was so good with baby! This was my first time at oxmoor center, I stumbled across Rowan and I overhead what I believe to be their linebacker regional trainer, who is covered in jail tattoos and is being absolutely rude to some mall employees. They had advertised free piercings and then rudely made a comment saying “I have a business to run, and having to step off the floor to train” as if that’s not in her job description as a trainer. I just feel like if you’re truly in that job position you should have better communication skills, and not talk in a condescending voice, talking down to other mall employees and forcing people to tip them. Maybe as a trainer open up your customer service handbook and learn how to talk to people in a more polite way. Have the day you deserve!
