This is obviously a brand new hotel, but there's not any issues to work out. It was very clean, location was decent, near plenty of shopping and restaurants. I'd say about 15 minutes from downtown. ||Breakfast was a typical Hampton Inn complimentary breakfast, three kids of cereals, oatmeal, egg, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy (only one day available for us), some fresh fruit, scones, muffins, bread, bagels, and waffles. ||Staff was extremely friendly, greeting us every time we went through the lobby and very helpful whenever needed.||Only issue I had is the pillows are too soft, but that seems to be an issue at hotels around the country, not just here. ||While the hotel is literally right next to the highway, even from the elevator lobby (that was on that side of the hotel), you could not hear the traffic. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The bathrooms are spotless with a big shower and plenty of hot water. The staff were helpful and friendly — they gave my kid a free candy bar when she returned from the competition victorious. And the breakfast was great — lots of options whether you want something savory, sweet, light or hearty.
And with a location just minutes from downtown, this is definitely where we’ll stay the next time we’re in Louisville.
