Southwest Regional Library — Attraction in Louisville

Southwest liberty ( Worst library ever for studying or to read a book ) if u want a quiet place to study do not go here I get it’s a kids library but it’s also a library for adults as well with multiple study areas but everytime I come here it’s loud with kids running everywhere on top of they are playing music throughout the whole place I tried to give this place another chance after the last time i was here it was 8pm and there were two screaming kids running around and the mom wasn’t doing anything about it and neither was the librarian it’s a damn library why let your kids run around screaming especially after hours when it was obviously study hours , I tried to give this place another chance after almost a year and they showed me exactly why I hate this place other than it being a bad place to go read a book in peace or to study , it’s a great place for kids and kid events other than there is a needle bin in the bathrooms for drug addict who go in the bathroom and shoot up they gave them a place to dispose their needles like wth this place should not be...

The staff here are very nice and helpful. Someone said the staff doesn't ask loud people to tone it down. I've been here quite often and it is always quiet. I'm sure there might be days when they have children's activities, so it may not be as quiet as other times. I've just NEVER been bothered by any loud noises of any kind and I live only 5 minutes away and have been here many times! The location and building are perfect and not a long drive for me. This is one of the best libraries to go too in Louisville. Mind you that I still like the Historic Downtown Louisville Free Public Library, but this Southwest Regional is just so trendy. The way that it was designed to take advantage of the sunlight for room lighting is awesome. The large windows just are great to read a book too.
