Tumbleweed Tex Mex Grill & Margarita Bar — Restaurant in Louisville

recently dined at Tumbleweed on Dixie Highway and ordered the chicken baked potato with sour cream, butter, crispy onion straws and cheese. At first, the meal was delicious—everything was well-prepared, and I was enjoying it. However, as I worked my way through the potato, I discovered a large black spot on one side.

I asked my waitress about it, and she assured me it was safe to eat, even offering to bring me another one. While I appreciated her response and her willingness to help, I just couldn’t bring myself to eat any more of it after seeing the spot, especially since I’m pregnant. I ended up eating majority of my house salad and packing the my mashed to go.

The rest of the food was good, but I feel the kitchen staff should be more careful when preparing and plating meals to ensure quality. It seemed like someone should have noticed the spot before serving it.

That said, I have to commend my waitress for being incredibly kind and understanding. She even waived the charge for my lemonade as a courtesy, even though I didn’t expect her to. Her great service didn’t go unnoticed, and I made sure to tip her well.

Came in for dinner last night. We put in drink orders and appetizers. We never received anything. Our server got cut right after taking our table. So the server was purely focused on getting out instead of taking care of her section. We never received the apps, and my wife never received her margarita. Just God-awful service. We left because we couldn't find our server or get drink refills. We watched other tables that showed up after us get appetizers, food, and drinks from the bar. If there were a lower rating I could give, I would. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs. I could understand if it was busy, but there were open tables, and the servers didn't have huge sections. You know it has to be awful when the hostess is pre-bussing for that same server. I would imagine if the floor manager were paying attention, the entire section wouldn't have gone neglected. I do not expect there to be mind blowing service or food. It's just an outdated restaurant with an obsolete menu. But not even meeting the low expectation that everyone has for chain restaurants is...

Don’t go here if your in a rush. Slowest staff I ever seen. They need more servers if they can’t handle a few people.When they aren’t even busy they still don’t come check on you like they should.Don’t waste your money on a steak. I got a ribeye and it just didn’t taste like a ribeye that I’m used to eating. I did eat it because I was starving. My friend had got a sirloin and he couldn’t even eat his didn’t have any flavor and he did have to send it back to get it cooked more but it still wasn’t good. My waffle fries and his baked potato wasn’t hot or fresh.The only thing I would recommend would be the chicken rolls appetizer.Didn’t really notice at first that it wasn’t that clean of a place but all you have to do is look up on the rafters when you see dust. Then I turn my head to the wall and it’s dust all on the booth. Just do you a favor and not come to this location unless u want to get disappointed. Sorry I didn’t think about taking a picture...
