One of Only Two Of Louisville Most Beautiful Catholic Church.
I have not Been to church in all most Three Yrs, and this was an Special Moment for Me.
A lot Families with Children, and an Friendly Environment. ( The only Sadness for me was family memories. Yes ago. It was a family tradition to come to my family and nieces and Nephews.) They are all Deceased now. All the little one brought back sad memories.I has stopped going to Easter Service because these Memories. ,and they all came back. All those Beautiful children. I had to stop and recompose myself for minute. But it was great to be be there.
Several yrs Ago I was Baptized at St Martin's.Church. At Shelby and Gray St. Another Beautiful Church. My Family was a Regular There. We grow up with, Father Robert Son He Was Great Man, and did many things, For that Area and the Neighborhood. A day Care, An African American Restaurant.. Read moreDominican parishes are usually pretty solid when it comes to Church doctrine. Beautiful traditional music! Frequent confessional hours! And a very family oriented atmosphere! A very friendly welcoming parish! I like it that after every Sunday mass families greet each other after mass as well as the priests and brothers. And that there are lots of little children everywhere. A sign of a healthy growing community. And wonderful lay ministries. The Knights of Columbus chapter does awesome things there. And they have young adult events, talks, pancake breakfasts, dances….. It’s beautiful! They are welcoming to anyone who would like to learn about the Catholic faith as well. Get a bulletin at the back of the church and see if there are any talks about the faith or just call the parish and ask to talk to a priest. He will spend hours listening to questions and concerns you may have....

A long line of wonderful Dominican priests and pastors, humble and selfless men that teach, communicate with, and respect all parishioners and attendees. The current pastor, unfortunately, has not carried on this tradition. He especially does not enjoy communicating with people that might want to question him or possibly disagree with him...in fact, he avoids confrontation at all costs, whenever possible.
