While I love connecting with local farmers at this market, and there are some great options, the City limits this market too much. First, there are simply not enough farmers at this market. Second, I recently learned that the City only allows there to be one vendor per item. So, for example, if one farmer sells chicken eggs, another farmer may not offer them. This severely limits customer's options and suppresses local farmers. I hope the City seeks to correct this for the sake of this community's wonderful, small farms. Edit for 2024 Season- Visited the first market this year and the City is still imposing the same limits. I will likely visit the market in Longmont instead this year so I can have more options....
