This is by far the WORST gym I've ever been to. Employees (especially the front desk) consistently ignore patrons in order to talk to other employees. This was the worst on the occasions that I would visit the gym in the evening - the girl who is at the desk between the hours of 9-12 is HORRIBLE with customer service. She has an attitude, and never even pretended like she cared if I had a question or needed something.
Which brings me to the next point: I only visited the front desk when I needed something. Which was pretty often. This place is so sketch that they do not have ANY magazines on the floor. Supposedly, people keep stealing them. They do keep a couple behind the desk (so above desk clerk may read during her shift). They also lock up their free weights...I had to ask for them to be unlocked often- and she claimed she didn't have a key to give me access! I'm at a gym, and you can't provide access to the weights? Huh?
When I got my "free analysis" by a trainer, he flirted with me so hard that it made me actually uncomfortable to be working out in front of him. Comments about my body were basically non-stop throughout the session....and then the dude proceeded to give me his phone number, claiming we could "work something out" with training, and telling me, "hey, a girl's gotta eat." Uh...I can find my own dates, thanks, creeper.
Last: cancellation. I called 3 days ago to cancel my membership, and I was transferred to 3 different customer service reps. Each time I was transferred, I was HUNG UP ON. Finally, after my 4th call, the girl claimed I was all set, and that I would be receiving an email to confirm within 10 minutes. Well, 24 hours passed by, and no email. 48 hours, and still no email. I finally called back, was hung up on AGAIN, called a 2nd time, and was connected with someone else. He said he would "resend" my confirmation email. 5 minutes later, I get the email....but the cancellation date was TODAY, and not 2 days ago. Clearly, the chick 2 days ago didn't do it correctly. Had I waited another day to investigate, I'd be paying for the month of October as well. Super shady.
WHO OWNS THIS PLACE? Seriously, they should be ashamed. I'm considering reporting them to the...

Overall impression - Dirty. That's my main complaint about this gym. It seems like the machines have not been cleaned for years! There's dirty, dust, spills, and sweat marks everywhere. Not even the water fountains are clean, they are full of dirt and calcium deposits.
Parking - plenty of free parking.
Gym - many strength training machines and free weights available. There's a TRX station as well. There are disinfecting wipes available, but nobody uses them. Staff doesn't seem to enforce that nor clean the machines on a regular basis. There's a tire turning station as well. Lots of cardio machines, mostly quite dirty.
Restrooms - the lockers are old and scuffed. Several were dirty inside. You should bring your own lock, as there is no keypad built into the lockers in the changing room. There are blow-dryers available, but the wall next to them was full of white and black/blown stains. There are small lockers with a keypad next to the welcome desk for your valuables.
Showers - the water pressure and temperature is good. There are 6 shower stalls and shower gel available. There are no towels available. As a result, some guests dry themselves with paper towels and leave them on the floor of the shower area!
Swimming pool and hot tub - up to 6 people can swim at a time, so you may need to wait in peak hours. The pool water temperature is very good for swimming, not cold if you are moving. The hot tub is really nice and warm! I really appreciate having a place to relax after a workout.
Sauna - saunas are inside the changing rooms.
Kids club - make sure you check the opening hours before coming....
Read moreNEEDS MAJOR HELP! As other's have said, this club is terribly run. Some of the staff are ok, even professional, but management is incredibly rude! They seriously look at you like you are an inconvenience, and I've had one of them flat out say, "That's not my problem, there's nothing I'm doing about it", and then I call the corporate office and have it resolved. Aren't members the reason you exist management? The equipment is generally working, but all dirty. I have never seen any staff walking around cleaning the equipment. At Planet Fitness, the staff are always wiping down and cleaning equipment. Not at this location for LA Fitness. I only belong here b/c of the pool, otherwise I'd be at Planet Fitness for friendlier staff and a much cleaner facility. Yes, the men's locker room is DISGUSTING. How hard is it to put up air fresheners that smell citrusy at minimum? Clean the carpets. Also, the bathrooms are always disgusting...floors unclean, stink, toilets clogged, no toilet paper, no soap at the sinks. I don't know how they stay in business. And lastly, I go to the gym to work out. But this location might as well be a social club. I have to turn my music up loudly to keep from hearing all the people standing around, or sitting on the equipment, having very loud conversations, or "talking"/yelling at each other from treadmill to elliptical. It's incredibly frustrating and distracting and happens constantly no matter where you are in the gym. At least once a week I wonder why I am a member and is it worth it just for the pool. If you don't need a pool, GO...
