The Regal is a large theatre complex that also includes a RPX (Regal Premium Experience) Theatre room which enhances a movie experience sight and sound. The four star for this theatre is more for the RPX room. We have visited this theatre several times and RPX does give a much greater experience that the other screening rooms. You do have to pay additional fee on top of the ticket price to watch a movie in the RPX room. The other rooms are a hit or miss. In our last visit we saw a movie in theatre 2 and the screen was not focused and the sound was too low for the front speakers (the main audio of the movie) as to the sound coming from the rear was much louder with the surround sound. Plenty of times during the movie I could not hear what was being said. Would recommend that the movies are checked once a day for sound audio and focus. The counter service is always pleasant and ticket availability is pretty good. There is a Red Robin Restaurant next to the theatre which is always good for a visit before or after a movie. I would recommend this theatre and highly recommend the RPX.

Regal Northampton Theater Complex I haven't been to the movies in years and it was a "SHOCK"!!! Like everything else, the price of movie tickets were unbelievable. Even though it was a Matinee, there weren't any Children nor Senior Discounts. I asked about this? The Worker told me, because it was in The RPX Theater ticket prices are different. So, BEWARE of ticket pricing differences between RPX, 2D and 3D Movies. Movie Tickets are now purchased at The Concession Stand. In addition, One must choose where YOU plan to sit in the theater. It was kind of weird and KOOL at the same time. It was like choosing airline seats. The RPX Theater has a Very clear picture. Probably HD, along w/ great sound. However, it was HOT inside the theater. That made it uncomfortable. When it's hot outside, it should be COOL in the theater. Minions (The Rise of Gru) was a funny, family movie. I recommend it. Just be ready for the high cost of going to The Movie Theaters. PLEASE LIKE, RATE AND FOLLOW ME.....

I came here to see Uncharted in RPX. Regal's premium format experience. I have to say the RPX theater is impressive. The screen isn't the biggest but the auditorium is spacious and the seats are comfortable. But what impressed me the most was the sound system. Especially during the action scenes you could hear every little detail. The restroom was also clean. If you go early you won't have to deal with many people. Overall my experience at this theater wasn't bad. I definitely reccomend the RPX format. Keep in mind my review is only based off being here one time. I can't say if the food or snacks here are good and I haven't been to other auditoriums But I am open to coming back here.

I've been going to this theater for a decade or so and have never had anything less than an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, while attending the 6:40 screening of Midsommar last night (7/11), we were seated next to a group of kids who were laughing, making jokes, and talking audibly among themselves for the ENTIRETY of the movie. They were the only people in the theater acting this way, and they kept looking at us and laughing, knowing that they were irritating us. After about an hour and a half of this my friend got up and complained to the manager. The manager (Sierra?) claimed that she was going to address the issue, but did nothing about it, and we had to sit through the remainder of the movie listening to these disruptive people. It completely ruined the experience for us, and I'm sure for many others in the theater. We approached the manager after the movie and asked why nothing had been done, and she completely wrote us off and told us that she "didn't see them talking". Really? Seeing as how we were sitting in the front row, and she only (supposedly) stood in the back of the theater for a few minutes, while the movie was playing loudly, I wonder why she couldn't hear them talking? She basically told us that we were wrong (as if we have nothing better to do than lie to a manager at a movie theater) and only once we kept escalating she gave us some free movie passes, which we didn't want. She had no empathy for us whatsoever and clearly thought we were making the whole thing up for whatever idiotic reason. What I wanted was for those people to be told to stop talking. That's it. Or at least my money back if the management was going to allow our experience to be ruined in that way. Why would I ever want free passes to come back to this theater again if this is how they treat paying customers who want to respectfully enjoy a movie? That manager should be fired. Hopefully this review will make others aware of what kind of experience they're in for at...

Regal isn't the worst place to go watch a movie. However their tickets are more expensive than their competitors. They finally updated their seating!!! Snack bar is about average when it comes to pricing.

Bathrooms are alright, and for the most part the theaters are kept pretty clean. Viewing experience and sound has never been a problem for me. They have a pretty neat app with a reward type program that's worth checking out. You may be able to score a free drink or pop corn from time to time.

REGAL APP RANT: WHY DOES THE APP CHARGE A BOOKING FEE?! I’M DOING YOU GUYS A SERVICE BY ORDERING TICKETS ON THE APP SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY SOMEBODY TO RING THEM UP FOR ME! BECAUSE OF THIS, I WILL NEVER ORDER TICKETS OFF THE APP!

9/2023 update: Felt like coming back to update my initial 4 star review to a 3 star review. The only difference the addition about the seating. The wife and I used to frequent this theater, however it’s gotten to the point where we prefer going to other theaters now because the seating isn’t very comfortable here. If they were to update it and put in some newer seats, this would be a 5 star review. Please consider updating the seating!

8/2025 update: THEY FINALLY UPDATED THE SEATING!!! THANK GOD!! 5 Stars for this location. We’ll be here more...

I visited tonight with my friend to watch Smile. I hadn’t been to this theater in a while and the prices have become quite high compared to other theaters in the area. But, this is the closest one to me by far so I decided to try it again. The worker there genuinely seemed like he wanted to die. The theater was clean and large but from the start, there were issues with other patrons. A group of young teens managed to sneak in and they were chatting it up. The worst part was the two literal CRACKHEADS like four rows back. These two women talked at full volume throughout the movie while also burping and making loud guttural sounds. We didn’t want to be rude but we did shush a few times to no avail. Finally, my friend and I basically stared at them to the point that they realized how annoying they were being and they left. At this point, the movie was almost over. I think these ladies either snuck into this movie just to be literally the most obnoxious they could be or they were high/drunk. Probably both. Also, we could hear the sound from the theater next door which kinda took me out of the movie. Won’t be back. Drive the extra 20 minutes and go to AMC...
