Went to Winn Dixie this day to take advantage of their weekend deals. To my surprise they were having trouble with the refrigerated sections of the meat and seafood departments. I was told they lost power overnight. This store was severely damaged during Hurricane Michael. They were out of commission for over a year. One would think that during the planning phase of restructuring, generator power would be included in the conversations. Well I was told the generator(s) covering (or not covering) those departments failed to come on line. Staff members, very competently, were scrambling to clean, remove and restore order to those departments as well as still taking care of customers. Read moreIt's getting better since the hurricane as more shops are getting back open, it's been a rough go since the storm for a lot of fellow Bay countians so it's nice to see business being able to reopen and hire back or bring in new folks to work. Want to give them 5 stars for the effort but being realistic, still has a little ways to go to be fully restored, but definitely worth stopping in as its probably 90% redone.
