The food was pretty good. The service wasn't so good. The server took our order, brought the drinks, then disappeared. By the time the food runner brought the food I was in need of a refill, but I didn't get one until I was finished choking down my chicken chimi. And it wasn't the server that brought it. The next time I saw her was when she flew by and dropped the bill on the table. Just a drive by billing, no words, not even eye contact. 🤷🏼♂️
In any case, the food was good, the restaurant was clean, there wasn't a wait, meals came fast, other than the server I can't complain. I'd go back, I'll bet that's not the typical service.
Hopefully they'll give me reason to edit this next time.
EDIT: Upped to 3 from 2 because of company's eagerness to improve based on customer reviews.
RESPONSE TO OWNER: my visit was 03/18/2021 at about 8:30p. I didn't keep the receipt or recall the ticket number. The server didn't introduce herself so I didn't get her name. If she had a name tag I didn't notice, and I wouldn't put her name here regardless. I don't mean to say she is a bad server, only that I had a bad experience with her that occasion.
I try to leave honest reviews based on my opinion and personal experience. I won't drop names for poor reviews or experiences because I don't want to cost any individual money or a job. If that person sees my review and it helps them to improve their performance that's great. I will drop a name on very excellent service because I want that person to be recognized and applauded and for other patrons to have the opportunity to have as good as experience as myself in those situations. I do try to be fair and informative for both the company and future patrons, and do not expect a discount or free meal, although I do appreciate El Jalisco responding as that...
Read moreSo very disappointed…I ordered fajitas for my family, picked up my order and got all the way home (30 minute drive home) and as I’m unpacking our dinner I realize the restaurant forgot to put tortillas in with my order…for fajitas… so I call the restaurant to let them know, expecting an apology or some sort of accountability or an acceptable response like asking my name or number and offering a discount or coupon next time or something and instead they said I could drive all the way back in to town to pick up my tortillas… I explained that I live too far away for that and they very rudely hung up on me! I am very disappointed with the way this was handled and I wasn’t going to waste gas driving all the way back for a handful of tortillas…the customer service makes me shake my head…so frustrating, I won’t be back.
Update: Many Months later the management finally reach out to me and apologized. I did go back to El Jalisco recently and I had a pleasant dine in experience. I ordered the Mexican Chicken with cheese which was one of my favorites from back in the day and I was very happy with everything from the service to the taste! So I’m changing my rating because I really appreciate the...
Read moreI would give them five stars but there was something that I didn't like at all. I will explain it . . . The food was delicious as usual, service was fast and our server (a gentleman whose name, sadly, I didn't get) was very kind and professional. What I didn't like and I noticed was that all women working there have a terrible attitude. Their facial expressions and attitude are very unprofessional and rude. We were waving from our table to get their attention and one lady was just right in front of us and totally ignored us. Then, when leaving, I brought my check to the front and the same woman was there at the register and she barely directed her eyes to us and grabbed the payment with a very bad attitude.
I don't know if they behave the same with all the customers or is just with their people (Hispanic) which is really sad because as compatriots we should be more kind and...
