North Lynnwood Park — Attraction in Lynnwood

We came here to cool off in extreme heat. Glad we did, here's why: people kept their distance, there's shade by mature evergreen trees near the water features and a well kept grassy lawn to sit on, the water features are nice. Geared towards toddlers and grade school children in my opinion. There are a few different sections: a couple where the water height and intensity is very low and comes up from the ground, another where water shoots up about 5' and then there are overhead spouts. The water isn't always on in all sections but alternates. You turn it on by touching the top of the red post. There's a decent sized play structure with wood shavings underneath. I did not have the chance to explore the rest of the park on our short visit but we'll be back to do that when it's not 100 degrees outside. The park was nice. Very clean, lots of trash cans and recycling cans available and no graffiti seen. There was a cute little play structure and small little splash pad which was great for younger kids. We were there for a birthday party, and a party structure had been rented. It was a little small, only had 4 picnic tables and 2 grills, but served our purposes well. The parking is absolutely atrocious; not only are the spots extremely small, but the parking lot had very few spots available. I make reviews for places and their bathrooms. Cause I like good places that are CLEAN. The bathroom is 1 stall that doesn't lock but you can lock the entrance door. Just push on it to close all the way then switch the latch. To unlock do the same but switch the latch back. There's 1 sink, soap and a mirror, no paper towels. It's not super clean but it's not like a disgusting park bathroom. I LOVE THIS PARK! It's so well kept. There's picnic benches everywhere, a great trail (3 laps is a mile), a 2 hoop basketball court, swings and a play area.... On top of that it's a SPRAY PARK! so much fun! A favorite place of my family...
