DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
If I could, this would be a zero-star review. My grandmother was admitted into this center, and in less than a week she was back in the Emergency Room. It was more of a personal issue, as she had passed out when climbing into her boyfriend's truck. Despite my mother's numerous attempts, my grandmother's boyfriend had intercepted the emergency contact list and somehow came up as first contact. Not only had I personally attempted to set my mother as the first contact (written on her board, talked to the front desk, etc.), but my mother herself had called multiple times to set her as the first contact, in which the nurses smiled and over the phone said consider it done. In less than 2 days later did she receive a call from my grandmother's friend that she was sent back to the ER. My mother was NEVER notified of her mother being sent to the emergency room. THE BOYFRIEND IS OBVIOUSLY NOT BLOOD RELATED! In fact, the boyfriend isn't even the HUSBAND, yet they somehow insisted that he was! (He has NEVER insisted that, by the way.) They don't even have their patient information correct, and will tell you YOU'RE wrong about your OWN loved one. When calling to see where she had gone, they began to yell at her and their manager was absolutely horrible. My mother quoted the manager, yelling, "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?! FIRE THE NURSE RIGHT HERE? I'M TRYING TO SEE ANOTHER PATIENT! TALK TO THIS NURSE." They hung up on her shortly afterwards. Absolutely unprofessional, and we will NOT be bringing my Grandmother back here after she returns from the emergency room.
Whenever my mom would call, she would go through 4 different types of people before she actually got to who she wanted to talk to. And when they wanted to hang up, they were CONSTANTLY giving the excuse of they needed to go see another patient. When I personally visited, there was an old woman in the middle of the hallway in a wheelchair that they absolutely ignored. She was calling for help, and whenever a nurse would pass by her she was completely ignored. Not even glanced at. What type of facility is this, is this a joke? The only good review I have is based on other patients, the physical therapists are amazing. But that's IT. Please, if you love your loved one, do NOT...
Read moreTo begin with I came up to Washington to play golf and visit some old highschoool friends. After playing golf I started feeling side affects of Covid. I was a Covid patient at Auburn Medical center for 45 days. It took longer for me to heal because I’m a heart transplant patient as of July 3rd 2016. I couldn’t take any Covid medicines only steroids and lasics . I was transferred to ManorCare in Lynnwood. I immediately started OT and PT. During my stay at Auburn hospital my L de conditioned out of my prosthetic. When I got here I started making plans to get a new prosthetic so when I got back home to San Diego. My point is half way through my stay here I tried my prosthetic and it fit! The rehab stay here not only turned into recovery for rehabilitation and Covid recovery but also I learned how to walk in my prosthetic leg again. Hannah from therapy was my first therapist that worked with me and then eventually Tom took over. What helped the most was that therapy did strength exercises with both my legs. After my first day I felt so relieved because he knew exactly what to do with me in my condition. He did resistance exercises, he didn’t push me to the where I was stressed or uncomfortable. I felt great that night. All the nurses that I have had since I have been here have been great. I have gotten to know them they have gotten to know me. The staff here that I have talked to and Dr. Kumar are wonderful. Dr. kumar is a great doctor. I am most proud of the outcome of therapy and having a positive attitude after every session. I am most excited about getting back home to San Diego to play the drums, my daughters and dogs. All in all I had an unplanned 77 days in Washington and thanks to ManorCare Lynnwood I was able to discharge back...
Read moreI would not recommend this facility. My husband went for a short period to receive IV medication after being hospitalized. I wasn't able to go in person so tried to make a connection on the phone to understand full care and plan as well as discharge information for the end. I called and spoke to somebody about billing which they were very interested in but I couldn't get a nurse to call me back after three attempts. I finally had to demand that I speak to somebody just two days prior to the discharge date. The clear reason he was there was to finish the antibiotics for a set number of days, However, nobody at the facility was even advocating for him to leave and I believe that if I didn't do that, they would have kept them there as long as we paid. When they did discharge him, they didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing. One woman just sat and played a game on her phone at the nurses station, and another was making airline flights on the phone. They didn't talk to us about continuing medication, they didn't give us any verbal discharge information. He took about two hours to get him out of that facility. In addition, He is required to be on a low sodium diet which the hospital, I assume, instructed this facility, but a lot of what he was given was packed with sodium (ie hotdogs, French fries, corned beef, gravy, etc) Which completely counter acted all of the rebalancing he received while in the hospital. It was a...
