I lived in a remodeled unit with no carpet and was still charged $120 for carpet cleaning. They also billed $320 for tub resurfacing and $195 for general cleaning. When I asked for proof, they sent a pre-work invoice—nothing post-service. Later, they provided photos which showed things like a single hair or barely noticeable residue in the tub. We had cleaned thoroughly, and it was clear they were just looking for excuses to keep the deposit. My dispute was ignored, and they processed the refund without my consent.
Traumatizing Noise from Upstairs Neighbors The upstairs neighbors constantly threw parties, blasted bass-heavy music late into weeknights, and stomped around like they were training for the circus. Over time, the stress triggered heart palpitations, ear pressure, and tinnitus. Peak noise always hit past midnight. Despite multiple complaints, management did nothing. Leah told us to “talk to the neighbors.” We even left polite notes—it only got worse.
Eventually, I started recording the noise and posting it to Youtube. Go listen if you’re curious what “auditory torture” sounds like. There are several clips you can hear: type “My Quiet Apt” on Youtube. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg—I’ve got over 100 recordings that I didn’t even upload.
Parking Chaos They enforced head-in parking strictly, with warnings and tickets. Meanwhile, the uncovered lot was filled with cars that clearly hadn’t moved in months. One had a flat tire and didn’t budge for a full year. Others barely moved once or twice a month. When I asked about the policy, I was told vehicles needed to move every three days. I mentioned I had photo documentation of several cars sitting for over 100 days and offered to submit it. They ignored me completely and said “Towing is the last resolution”
So go ahead—bring your junk cars, let the tires rot, and turn the lot into your personal scrapyard.
Water Heater from the Stone Age Our unit’s water heater was well over 10 years old and barely functioned. Hot water was lukewarm at best and ran cold after 5 minutes. Maintenance came once, adjusted a setting, and declared it “fine.” Daily showers had to be rushed, and using the bathtub was impossible.
Terrible agent Leah, the leasing agent, consistently dismissed concerns, ignored follow-up emails, and treated residents rudely. At events, she handed out insultingly tiny food portions while acting like she was doing us a favor. Her attitude was consistently unpleasant and unprofessional.
Facilities Are a Joke The pool was dirty, barely opened for more than a couple weeks a year, and completely uninviting. The hot tub? Nonexistent. I never saw it operational once. The gym was outdated and depressing. Living here honestly felt bad for my health.
Dark, Damp, and Disgusting My unit got no sunlight due to heavy trees and forest growth directly outside. The apartment was always dark and clammy, and even with the heater running all winter, it remained cold. The path to the unit was absurdly narrow, and whenever it rained, it flooded. I had to drag my dolly through standing water and what appeared to be a mix of mud and sewage. Requests to improve this?...
Read moreWe put the deposit down on the apartment and heard nothing from the complex until I contacted them the day before we were supposed to move in. They told me they had been waiting around for us to call them to schedule signing papers and such. After we took possession, all the maintenance issues began: There was a large area of mold in the floor between the bathtub and toilet, and behind the toilet. I notified them on a Friday and asked for maintenance to take a look as I wouldn’t be moving in for another week or so. Almost one week later while moving in, I noticed nothing had been done to the area. I called them and they told me they didn’t know what happened but maintenance wouldn’t be in for another half week. I told them that was unacceptable and I was not going to be moving my baby into a bathroom with active mold. They called me back and scheduled a replacement of the vinyl for a few days later. We had to live with the mold until then. The lower cabinets in the kitchen were infested with gigantic ceiling spiders. At least one in each cabinet, and up to three in a few. I called the office and they refused to send the cleaning crew back out, even though it was clear the cleaning crew never even opened the cabinets as there were established spider webs over the openings and there was still Contact paper down from the previous tenant. They offered, instead, to send pest control out to spray poison in the cabinets. In the cabinets where I would be placing the pots and pans and dishes I use to cook with. In the cabinets that I would place my baby’s food in. I declined and although I am severely arachnophobic, I cleaned out the spiders myself, along with a lot of dirt and grime. There is a substantial amount of water damage in the cabinets as well. The paint on the bathtub began coming off with my first shower. They advised that a resurfacing would mean I would have to stay out of the apartment for a few days. Obviously, with a baby and a roommate, this is not going to be possible. Whenever I take a shower, water leaks out of the bottom of the bathtub and dissolves the caulking. Who uses water-soluble caulk on a bathtub??? I left a VM for the office a week ago, they have yet to return my call. There is a lot of mold and mildew in the dishwasher that I tried my best to clean off, but it is living in the rubber seals around the door and every time we run it, more loosens up and flies around and covers our dishes. Covers my son’s bottles. I left a VM and they have yet to return my call.
I’m sure the list will continue on and on. In short, if you are looking for a moldy, spider-infested, dirty apartment with management that is basically non-existent, this may be the...
Read moreWorst place to ever call home! We signed our first lease in November of 2019. Sure the place is ran down, cops go through the apartments often for other residents that live there, hot tub NEVER worked, the park on the back side of the place is actually just a city park that anyone can use during any hours, the appliances are dreadful and I'm sure vary through out the units, and the office never answers the phone (only got one call back on a voicemail over the years). We lived in two separate units each one very outdated even though any one can see how high the rent is 🙄. That's to be expected though, most apartments are not dreams come true and we expect that. This whole review is about how our lease ended. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids one as young as 1.5 years. They put a renewal on our door we accepted and they accepted we received the email for that. Then I waited days for the new lease to come through the portal. When that didn't happen I called the office and got Jason (new person since the office has a high turn over. 4th "Manager" in our time there) for him to tell me that they won't renew our lease and we need to move by the end of lease. Why won't they renew? We were over occupancy even though last year we renewed with the same amount of people but this year Jason couldn't explain why they over looked it last year and that we needed to move. They gave us barley two weeks to find a new place. VERY stressful when its the middle of summer and availability for units is hard to come by. When we did move out on the last day of the lease I went to Leah in the office who doesn't handle or know anything about the move out process even though she's been in the office longest out of her and Jason. I finally got ahold of Jason two days later and he was surprised that we moved even though there was never a chance of renewal. Highly disappointed in how my family was treated after so many years of calling this place home. * For the parents out there this place is a terrible place to have your kids roam! Cigarette butts everywhere, drug paraphernalia on the side of the complex away from the office, and dog poop EVERYWHERE! Beware having your kids run...
