Extremely rude staff tonight, including the manager. We were greeted at the store front by the manager with “our registers shut down right at 8” when we arrived at 7:45pm for a quick and focused visit. During my 6 minute total store visit the employees followed me around until a young staff person told me in a rude tone “we’re closing now” at 6:50pm. Do they harass all their customers in this way before the store is actually closed? I had no intentions of staying until 8pm. They made a snarky intercom announcement as we were waking up to the cashier about how “when the lights are off the cash registers are shut”. On top of this visit, the one item we had purchased was a heavy outdoor decoration that we couldn’t carry to the car safely. On our way out the front door the male staff person rudely asked us to take out our item so he could keep the cart. I had to defend myself and tell him it was too heavy to safely carry to the car. In response he sighed out loud and told us to bring the cart back to him to the front door. At this point I had enough of the ridiculous treatment by staff members who clearly have no basic customer service skills. I only had one issue though but I think it was just someone didn't understand how strong the magnet is that removes the security device. I was going to buy a ceramic coated cast iron mini Dutch oven. When they tried to remove the device the strong magnet was ripped from their hand and stuck to the cast iron chipping the coating. It took a lot to pry off the magnet. Hopefully they had a team meeting about magnets and magnetic items. I left without the oven even after being offered a discount as it was the last one but I scored on a lot of other items so it was still a good trip. Can't...
Read moreI had a terrible customer service experience. I purchased some fall decor. One of the items I wanted was damaged. Maddie was the associate who helped me. She was not friendly at all. Didn't smile, say help, nothing. I asked her about a discount for the damaged item. The company wouldn't offer a damage discount because it was on clearance. The other two items were the same and were also on clearance. They were all only marked two dollars off. I asked about a damage discount for the item since I felt I should pay less because I needed to fix it. She said the company didn't do that.
