Great sandwich place with a Filipino twist. Will definitely be back to try all the other items.
Family friendly - yes but this restaurant is not made for anyone bringing in a car seat. All chairs inside are stool. Pet friendly - kind of. There are two small table outside BUT the area is so tiny, its pretty much a sidewalk. Parking - yes, shared lot with other business in the area.
FOOD: Lumpia $6 - Crispy beef spring rolls: An order comes with 6 rolls that are cut in half. The inside is flavorful and the exterior is crispy and nicely golden.
Adobe Fried Chicken $12 (Adobe marinated fried chicken, sili pipino, roasted jalapeno sauce, lettuce, brioche bun): I think my favorite out of the three sandwiches. The chicken is moist on the inside but crispy on the outside. I will say, this is the chicken sandwich you wish they serve at fast food places.
Lechon Kawali Roll $14 (Crispy pork belly, sweet soy glaze, chili herb garnish, hoagie bun): The pork is amazing!! The skin is super crispy and has great flavor. The only disappointment is there is missing some kind of a sauce such as a spicy aioli. Without the sauce, the sandwich is dry even if the pork is amazing.
Fili-Bistek $12 not pictured (Soy marinated grilled steak, onions, peppers, provolone cheese, hoagie bun): This was my least favorite of the three but not by much. All three sandwiches were great. The steak was juicy and the provolone cheese complimented the flavor well.
RESTAURANT/LOCATION/INTERIOR: Small restaurant but clean. Lighting is a little dim which is a little odd for a restaurant. I like that the menu is small and they do it so well.
STAFF: Meet a couple of the team working, cashier and wait staff. Everyone was friendly and well informed. You order and they will deliver the...
Read moreLASA Sandwiches & Pearls is a fantastic spot to dive into some truly unique and delicious Filipino flavors. I've been fortunate enough to visit on multiple occasions, and it consistently delivers a satisfying and vibrant meal experience. I've had the pleasure of trying several of their popular sandwiches, including the LechĂłn Kawali roll, adobo fried chicken, and lumpia sub. All were genuinely good and packed with authentic taste, but the clear winner for me has to be the Breakfast Longanisa. That sandwich is an absolute gem â perfectly seasoned and incredibly satisfying. The flavors just sing! Beyond the sandwiches, their fries are a great side â good and definitely filling. And of course, you can't go wrong with their lumpia; they're well-executed and make for a perfect snack or appetizer. While I haven't had the chance to try any of their "Pearls" (drinks and desserts) yet, given how excellent everything else has been, I imagine they're just as good as the sandwiches. The service is always friendly and efficient, even when they're busy, which is a testament to their staff. My only minor suggestion for an even more perfect experience would be to perhaps offer a bit more seating, especially during peak hours, as this popular spot can fill up quickly! Overall, LASA Sandwiches & Pearls is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore vibrant Filipino cuisine in a casual and welcoming environment. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to dive into more of their menu, and maybe finally try...
Read moreWOW! Flavor to the max! We just left the restaurant and our taste buds were pleasantly surprised. But first, the restaurant itself. The atmosphere was bright, the music had me dancing in my seat and the "hello, welcome to Lasa" with a smile was much appreciated as soon as we walked in the door. Too bad it's small as it's an inviting place to hang out and eat. But every business has to start somewhere right? Now for the food. The presentation, despite being simple, definitely got the laway (saliva) flowing. The first to hit our pallettes was the Sisig Fries. OH MY GUT (Filipino accent intended)! It was beyond our expectations. I would've been happy with just that. But of course, it being our first time, we had to order other things. One of which was the Lechón Kawali Sandwich. The bread was perfectly toasted, the veggies crunchy and the lechón crispy to perfection. And BIG. We also ordered the Shanghai Lumpia which was tasty as well. Now for the drinks. I ordered the Boracay and hubby ordered the Taho. Mine was definitely refreshing and something best served during summer weather. As for the Taho. It was ok. Kinda tasted more like Milo with Boba. Overall, two thumbs up. Gonna have to bring the kids next time, as we'll never hear the end of it once we tell them about the...
