Seattle Weekend Family Fun - Indoor Play (Eastside & Northside)

I did not care for this place for multiple age group children, I brought my grandchildren to a birthday party. One child is 5 and the other is 20 months and even with that span it was bad. Nothing really for the 20 month old to do and the older children being so excited about running around pushed him out of the way. No rest for a parent with two young children here. No real relax and enjoyment or take pictures due to the fact your always making sure the younger one is not getting hurt again. They offer a few blocks & two sit- in cars that everyone fights over is all they have for the younger kids. It would be good if they even added a pit where they had toy cars or things for younger kids to play with. They need to add something for the younger ages to do while the older ones play. I have taken many children to many places over the years for birthday parties this one does not seem friendly for multiple ages. They also need to do a better job cleaning, if no food is allowed then this jump spot should be cleaned better picture below this was the only pit my grandson could play in safely the rest were too dangerous, and it was dirty, i would be embarassed if I invited kids and my guest saw this. I tried to take him up other outs but they were too steep or hard with a kid in your hand. The staff was excellent in helping and running the party.

(look at my view count) you will see i do alot of reviews...BEWARE....So lets start I'm only gonna post pictures of the irony of this place, because I am totally against coming here again. I understand policy of wearing masks, but this place is going a little to far. When the kids at 2, 3, and or 5 years old are told that if they do not wear their mask while playing in a bouncy house where they are sweating, exhausted and trying to breathe through this these masks, that your party will be cancelled and thrown out with no reimbursement (Management worlds not mine). Im not a anti mask person but this place has taken it to another level. I Would not recommend this place what so ever take a look at my reviews I don't normally post negative reviews but this place needs to pay more attention to customer service and let a birthday be a birthday. If you're not engaged in activities I would say you have to wear your mask that is fair but while you are on a bouncy house or fully engaged in a activity on the floor where you're running jumping and playing seems a little bully. Lets note that they let the kids share the water faucet and drinking station with no hesitation and have no hand sanitation station anywear, but small children wear your mask...... Stay far away and show this place they xant treat people this way.

I bought the recent Groupon to bring my 3 kids here during the morning young-kid open jumps (forgot the term). I went this morning, forgetting that it didn’t include Friday mornings – my fault. Then an employee said they were open at 4:30p for a Family Night open jump. Awesome. I brought the whole fam (we have 4 kids, 6 and under) at 4:45p and immediately hit another road block when a different employee told me my Groupon wouldn’t work for Family Jump Night, only the open jumps in the morning. I was frustrated, but it was still my fault. The kids were itching to get in and jump, and I looked at the pamphlet the employee handed me that said the Family Jump Night time was 4:30-5:50. I calculated in my head, “Is the next hour and 5 mins worth the $30ish? Sure. Whatever.” Again the kids were dying to get inside, so in we went. They were having a blast and I looked at my watch at 5:30 and told my kids, “We have another 20 mins guys, keep on bouncing.” Imagine my shock when 5 mins later an employee says over the microphone that time is up, stop what you’re doing, and get your shoes to go. It was 5:35p. I asked immediately, “Wait, I thought it was till 5:50?” She said it was 5:40p (which was still 5 mins away). Frustrated, I wrangle my kids who are still hyper and needing more time to get their wiggles out (I did tell them they had 20 more mins after all) and go to the front desk to check out that pamphlet again. It said 5:50p. I tell that to the guy at the counter and he says his computer says 5:40p and shrugs.

I’m sorry, but shaving off 20 expected and promised (pamphlet) minutes from my family’s jump time put us all in a bad mood. My husband was mad we spent so much for 45 mins ($30 is a lot of money for us), the kids were mad because they needed more time, and I was mad because the employees didn’t seem to know the time it was supposed to end, cut off the time we did have, and then didn’t make it right once I pointed out the discrepancy. Even if it were to end at 5:40p, we should’ve at least been able to jump until the last second - that’s what we paid for anyway. We were told to leave 5 mins before that time. We paid for what we thought would be a full hour and 5 mins, and the kids got 45 mins. Not cool.

Pump It Up, do better. Follow through on the times you advertise.

UPDATE:

I received an email shortly after posting my original review from Andy, a manager. He apologized for the discrepancy in the end times and also said that we should be able to jump until the last minute allowed. Just this morning I was processed a full refund and was told I could have an open jump time on their dime. We live in Oregon so we'll take them up on it when we're back in town for the holidays.

Thank you, Pump It Up, for fixing the issue and being responsive. We'll...

Overall four stars and here's the breakdown:

Location 4 stars- this is not a slight on the decision of placement as it totally fits and thrives where it is. This is more an issue with the way parking is set up right next to the facility - it's really tight and if there's more than one party-even tighter.

Now it's right next to the DMV office and the laundromat so I don't know if it's OK to 'bleed' into there or not - I bring this up as a 'be forewarned'

Facilities 5 stars - it's clean, well loved (by both patron and staff), and every time we are there it's fun. The upkeep on the play structures and facilities is fantastic. My kiddo loves the blocks in the second room and no rips or goo on them. I also noticed (while waiting to enter the first room) the staff thoroughly cleaning the recently vacated party room - fantastic and sparkling after!

Staff 5 stars- I am always amazed at how chill, in control, and friendly the staff is. These young workers are absolutely fantastic at managing the business side AND the customer service side - they kept their awesome attitude with MULTIPLE parties of kids and all the chaos that entails - very satisfied with the staff - THANK YOU!!

Party Service 3 stars - (I'll add - this wasnt my kids party but we were there as guests) The pizza was late by over half an hour. The staff (again, five stars because this wasn't their fault and they were stellar at handling this) did their part in acknowledging this happened and gave the parents a discount as this apparently happens with some frequency (?!)

The issue I have with this is that there were multiple young kids who were promised food and didn't get it - that's a recipe for disaster and a poor party experience. Whereas older kids and adults might roll their eyes and grumble, these young kids (the core demographic of this place mind you) are tired and don't have the experience in this to be able to handle this.

If it's 'frequent' that's wholly a management/ownership issue - this is a situation that has "lack of planning" written all over it. It's KNOWN who/when/how many FAR in advanced and that's why we as parents are willing to shell out the money for planning and logistics. That's a discussion with the food vendor about timelieness.

Overall, if you're looking for a fun, clean, and classy place for your kid to burn some calories, you have a great...

Beware of OZONE in the rooms!!! The smell from an ozone machine was SO strong and it can be incredibly dangerous to breathe. Just look it up online. When we arrived a woman was having a coughing/gagging/panic attack in the bathroom for over 5 minutes. I offered to bring her water but she declined. My guess is she knew she would just throw it up from coughing so much. I wonder if it triggered an asthma attack. She could hardly breathe!! Later, when we went into the 2nd room I connected the dots there with immediately noticing the ozone smell. It is NOT safe to breathe ozone. I asked the front desk about it and she confirmed they had used an ozone machine in there. I feel for the woman who was affected by it and others who were exposed. I got lightheaded and had to leave the room with my 2 disappointed kids. It's dangerous to use that and not properly air it out for an extended period of time. We used them in the hotel industry for smoke and didn't enter the rooms for a minimum of 24 to 48 hrs with windows open. For children, babies, and adults to be exposed to that unknowingly is awful. Even minutes can be unsafe. I will never go back here. It's also been shown that ozone doesn't remove odors, so I am unsure of the reasoning for the Owners to use them. I hope they stop using that for the safety of everyone. If you can smell the ozone, people are having coughing attacks, and getting lightheaded, and more than one person said something - it's a sign that there's a problem. Don't put people's health at risk for making money.

Not like anything can be worse than risking the safety of people, but it's also worth mentioning the staff in the 1st room listing off "rules" before entering room 2 spoke so quietly no one could hear her. Maybe she could get everyone's attention before she started talking, and speak up if you have important instructions for people. They seemed very uninterested in being there along with the other staff. She also kept leaving in the 2nd room so the kids couldn't go on the bounce area that said a staff member must be there. Leaving 2 of the 3 bouncy...
