The items are not the problem. They honestly supply a wider variety than the stores near me. However, the employees are very unprofessional and disrespectful. I came into this beauty supply, minding my own business, looking for my items, only to find an employee following my every move. I don’t want to be prejudice, but I feel as though it has something to do with the fact that I am a person of color. When I spotted her following me, I respectfully told her that I would call out to her if I needed her help. Even after this, she continued to follow me. This is honestly the last straw for me. I came here before, won over by their options, and purchased a large amount. After this, my daughter had told me that she needed to use the restroom (she is only 5), so I asked the same employee if my daughter could use their restroom. She sternly said that there was no restroom available for customers. I understood if it was for an adult such as myself. However I found it very astonishing that she could look at my 5 year old daughter who is clearly about to release herself at any moment and ask me to go ask around in other stores. Desperate, I even asked if I could stand outside the door while she used the restroom. The employee still said no, not batting an eye while watching us as we ran out in a hurry. These employees are very fake and only know how to put on a smile just for you to purchase something. Other than that they clearly have no feelings whatsoever towards their customers. At this point I am highly irritated and want nothing more to do with her, their store, or their items. Everything is not about money, but how you make your customers feel as well. I’m not asking to receive any favoritism or extra service. I think every human being deserves to be treated as a human. I’m not a dog, I deserve my privacy as I shops peacefully. I hope they get hope they can change their attitude...
Read moreI bought the wrong size braiding hair a few days ago. When I entered to make an exachange, I put my bag at the counter (as they usually request) and explained to the manager that I was trying to exchange my braiding hair, but they didn’t have the size I wanted. It was my mistake so I didn’t mind. I just bought a 3 more packs of the same hair I had already had to make sure I had enough. When I counted the packs. One was missing. I saw her take one out to process the exchange, but when I tried to explain to her that in total, I should have 9 packs of hair, she accused me of trying to take a pack. I counted 8 and walked out towards the car. Once outside, I looked at my receipts and saw that I should have had a total of 9. I walked back in and showed them to her and she really accused me of trying to get a free pack of braiding hair. I did not appreciate how she handled the situation. I wanted and should always to get...
Read moreI was actually going to head to the store today, but due to seeing how many fellow black women have also experienced over the past 5+ years the exact same experience (I genuinely thought it was just me) over and over and over again I would like to add my two cents to my own experience with the store. I have visited twice before and have also, very unfortunately, experienced both of the owners watching me in the store. I was there for 30mins. browsing for the first time. It makes absolutely no sense in any capacity to try to make any profit off of a community you don't trust. Please switch your industry. If you do not trust us. You cannot make any money from us. It makes no sense. Especially because very easily you can make a $50-$100.00 profit per customer. Why would any of us steal any product for $10? I will gladly drive my 13 miles to a black owned beauty supply store and build their generational...
