We stopped here so my son could climb the 270 steps—roughly 20 flights—to see the iconic Arch. He was determined and crushed it! My daughter and her friends opted out, so I stayed back with them. While waiting, we noticed several people drinking from the natural fountain nearby and decided to do the same. Later, we saw the small sign stating the water wasn’t safe to drink—thankfully, we always pray over everything we consume and we’re all okay. Many people were using it to refill water bottles during their 8.2-mile bike ride around the island, so just a heads-up! Beautiful area overall, and a good reminder to read signs...
