HORRIBLE. I would give 0 stars if I could. would first like to note, I am not one to go out of my way to write a review for a restaurant regardless of it being really good or really bad, however my experience here was so awful that I feel like I have to. To begin, our server (Sophia) had a horrible attitude. we ordered our drinks, one was alcoholic and the other was non-alcoholic (blueberry no-hito). When I received my drink (the non-alcoholic one) I realized that there was alcohol in it and when I asked Sophia, she casually picked it up, brought it to the bartender and THEN proceeded to laugh and giggle with him about my drink. Despite her fixing the issue, the blatant disrespect was extremely off-putting. I understand that making the drink may not have been her fault, HOWEVER, the fact that she did not even apologize but instead giggled about it with the bartender, without realizing the consequences that if I was a case of 1.) a minor that cannot drink alcohol or 2.) an alcoholic in rehabilitation. Although I was not these cases, IMAGINE IF I WAS??? i felt like the matter should’ve been dealt with more seriously. Additionally, when handing us our drinks, she was very nonchalant about her service. She was handing drinks right in front of our faces without saying excuse me and in general, very poor manners. The final thing that led me fuming out the restaurant was my last interaction with her. While paying the bill, I paid with card and wanted to give her a 20% tip despite her poor service just because I understand the industry. However when I went to hand her my card along with the bill and tip, she proceeded to POINT OUT the gratuity percentages and DEMANDED a higher tip. Just blatant disrespect and ungrateful. I understand that servers go through a lot but I am never a hard guest to serve. I always tip 20% and this was the first this I was very hesitant to tip. At one point, the manager came over to ask us about our experience and I regret not letting him know that our server was awful and we were not having a good time . Overall, the worst service I’ve ever received at...
Read moreI would never go back. It's not worth my time. The manager was great going around to ask how our experience was, but at the time, our experience was mediocre to complain. Our server was Sophia. First, when placing our drinks, she handed it in our faces instead of placing it on the table. Second, we ordered two cokes, one mock tail, and one cocktail. She mixed up the drinks and gave my 18 yo daughter the cocktail. She took it back to the bar and just laughed about her mistake instead of apologizing. This could have been a major issue if my daughter had alcohol poisoning. Lastly, our order came out to be $140 and I tipped her $20 due to the poor experience. She then proceeds to point out that the receipt gives me three options: 18%, 20%, 25%. These options are suggested and not mandatory. For her to point them out to me is daring for her due to the poor service that she provided. Other servers seems to be rude as well as I was watching others being served. This restaurant definite needs to retrain their employees. Servicing a tourist attraction means that you will get a variety of people and not just your local customers. These servers needs to be able to provide top notch service in order to continue to attract business. Additionally, the food was not that great to persuade me...
Read moreReally good views at this location, nice to be outside and under an umbrella. If you come here try to get a spot below the patio though there’s a few tables there and those are right on the greens. The food was… well not bad for the island but what we got wasn’t the best. The sautéed whitefish dish I got needed a carb to go along with it like a wild rice and then it would have been perfect. My wife got a veggie pita and it was a little over salty or seasoned but it was a good quantity and the fries were good. Beers on draft here are good, I had the aderondoch ale which apparently is only served at the island house properties. The Bloody Mary...
