I do not write reviews unless I feel strongly about something..They put my 3 year old ( he would be 3 in three months) who had potty trained to a 1.5-2 year old room, we were told we were on a waiting list and should be able to attend the 3-year-old classroom in about two months, however after we started the school we noticed this room does not have restroom inside, when kids need a change, stuff will have to bring them out of the room to use the hallway bathroom, however the old door is heavy thick bulky in between the classroom & the hallway, there is no way my son can push that door open to use the bathroom by himself, and he is too shy to ask when he needs to go, so to be safe he had to back to wear diapers, this is ridiculous, and yet he had full diaper EVERY time I go get him at 4pm, this is unacceptable.
Horribly neglected kids by the staffs here. He was left in the room all by himself one day(4pm) I went to get him, tears all over his face left in the empty classroom behind the closed thick door so no one can hear him, looks like he had been cried for a while. From the beginning to the end there were no stuff around, no one at the desk, no one around, no one to talk to for what happened there, yet no one noticed that I took my son away from the school this day, horrible!
One of the front dest lady has 4 kids in the school of her own, a few other teachers told me they all have kids attend here, seems that your kids are not gonna be fairly treated if you don’t work here.
During snack time, none of the kids were required to wash their hands before grab these apple slices, my son got hand foot mouth disease the first week attend here, he had to stay home for 3 weeks to recover. All the rooms are dirty and filthy, aged floors carpet furniture, they really need to remodel or deep clean this place! 3-year-old+ kids class rooms are all arranged in the basement, this is not right.
They had 2days/week available for us, school fee chart says around $700/month for us, but we were billed $900/month, more than what we expected, we were told the chart is outdated. I paid in full for the whole month, then my son got sick the first week attended there, I phoned the school just to see if possible they can credit me a week or two towards my next payment they would not credit one single dollar back.
Note: the outdoor playground is un-usable, looks like under an abandoned construction during our attendance summer 2023. Note: People can literally steal your kids away if they tend to. When you drop in & pick up, there is no signature is required by parent(s) at this school, and there were times no one at the front desk!
I withdraw my son after two months bad experience actually only 4 or 5 days but we had enough. Expensive & unprofessional! I phoned several times in order to schedule a time to pick up my son's belongs, no one takes or returns my calls, I stopped by one day, from the glass-door I can see the empty front desk, so I phoned, a young lady walked out from the back room to the front desk peeked at the phone then turned around left without answering the phone, I guess they save my name in their phone, when she saw my name she didn’t feel answering just walked away. When you are not there to give them money, your business is done with them even you need to just go get your stuff.
The school is nothing to do with Christian but a bunch of gossip stuffs and filthy politics, children are not in good hands, it is a bad school and a very bad experience, they treated my son poorly.
We are going to a smaller community school with humanistic care, this is definitely a fake Christian school that we were...
Read moreThe level of disorganization and disregard for safety at Madison Heights JJ is deeply concerning. The number of violations and special investigation reports this facility has is unacceptable.
Our experience at MH JJ was troubling from the onset. The teacher turnover rate is exceptionally high, often due to poor management practices and an owner seemingly more focused on profit than on maintaining a safe environment for children. We've seen great teachers come and go, unable to stay long in such challenging conditions.
One particularly harrowing incident involved our daughter. We once picked her up only to find her crying alone on the floor with a fever. At the time, she was just crawling and couldn’t use her right arm for several days afterward. The owner, Racheal, handled the situation inadequately. Our desire to transfer her to another facility was thwarted by waitlists, which delayed our ability to make the move.
Adding to our distress, our 12-month-old was mistreated by a teacher we once trusted. While the director at the time responded appropriately, she soon resigned. Later, when our 2-year-old supposedly fell and broke a tooth, the incident was downplayed. We found this incredibly dismissive—upon pickup, we were handed a paper plate with the tooth taped to it, labeled “her tooth, I think…”. Our request to review footage of the incident was met with a series of delays and excuses—from claims that a storm had taken the camera offline to later discovering that all that was needed was a replacement power cord.
We've since removed our child from this facility, and we are so relieved to see how well she is doing in a new environment. I strongly encourage parents to consider other options before enrolling their...
Read moreEvery part of our family’s experience here was absolutely wonderful. This isn’t paid or encouraged, sadly we moved and our children couldn’t attend here any longer.
We always had great support from the front desk (thru their app was always the best way to communicate) - any child care or billing issues were generally promptly resolved.
The teachers are fabulous. Miss Nicole was someone who just “knew what to do” with my then 1-year old; he went in as a baby with a paci to her room and walked out a gabbing toddler who knew how to serve himself and throw away his trash. Miss Alia (now the center’s director) and Miss Meagan had both of my kids from early infancy and were also a delight, I appreciate that when they’re ready they work thru baby led feeding with your child (and get them on the Spaghetti Wednesday train!). Miss Alia is a wonderful director, she’s very on top of things and happy to support parents as is Miss Kyleigh. Miss Neveah was someone who sweet to my toddler’s preschool year and was always so helpful in communicating any child needs back to us.
The center is clean, bright, and the playground has grown so much in the years we’ve been there. I love they do so much outdoor time when the weather permits (even winter!). The after hours events they host are so nice as well. Overall, I’m glad I didn’t listen to any negative reviews online because I truly believe this center set my kids up for great success. Thank you all, it’s making me cry writing this because...
