Please note that this review is of the company, not the experience, as we were unable to participate.
The minimum number of participants required in order to operate was not met for our reserved time (we booked through a third party website which thankfully listed policies - there is no information available on the company’s website). While this is completely understandable, it was either mishandled by the person tasked with informing us of this update, or the company needs to strengthen its procedures.
Rather than receiving advanced notice of this potential so we could re-structure our day, we received one single phone call 2 hours beforehand, which we were unable to answer. No voicemail was left, and no further outreach attempt was made, despite the fact that they had access to us via text, email, and OTA messaging platform. We found out that the tour was cancelled when we arrived to an empty lot. We contacted the company and only then were we offered the option to reschedule. We were reserved on the last tour of the day and were leaving the following morning, so this was not feasible for us.
We were offered a refund, but that did not recover the disappointment of planning an entire day around this activity and then to learn we would not be able to participate at the very...
Read moreThe best thing about the experience was the trolley did not break down and got us around to a few of the pubs! The location where we were supposed to meet the trolley was not the correct location so we had to backtrack approximately seven blocks. We were then told they had not updated the location. Thankfully, they were running about a half hour behind so we could walk back seven blocks to be where we were supposed to be. When arriving, we discovered that we in fact could have brought our coolers. So our first stop was at a liquor store to buy beverages no drinks were provided. The guys running the operation had pretty good attitudes until about halfway through then the one started getting a bit snarky and that is also when I discovered that they We’re helping theirselves to our beverages when we would stop and go inside the pubs. The experience could’ve been way better had there been organization, communication, and more experienced operators as far as dealing with the public and drinking. I guess leave it to the professionals in Nashville when it comes to this specific experience,...
Read moreThis is a must do in Madison, even if you live here. The trolley has 14 seats, only 10 of which have to peddle. Get to the trolley first if you want a non-peddle seat, as they seem to fill up fast. Honestly, I would recommend sitting up front because you see a lot more, and talking to the driver and being the DJ is a blast. A friend and I did the mixer Trolley and had a blast meeting new people. For the mixer, you do stop at 3 locations where you can pick where to go (or just stay on the Trolley). Peddling is a workout, but even for my untrained butt, it was doable. You will sweat, but it is worth it. Wear reasonable casual clothes, but leave the flip flops at home. Someone will lose one, and the poor bartender will have to run for it. Great time, and the staff made the trip...
