We loved having our wedding at Overture! It was a stunning and spectacular day and everyone commented on how beautiful and great of a wedding it was and a lot of that was due to Overture. Kelsey and then Allie were our points of contact and they were superb. They were very responsive and answered all of our questions in great detail. The venue is gorgeous with a lot of natural light that makes for great pictures rain or shine and also has clean lines. We had an initial tour and then the walkthrough 1-2 months out. We did the ceremony on Upper Lobby, cocktail hour on Promenade Terrace and Promenade Lobby, and reception in Main lobby. Allie mocked up our floor plans several times to accommodate all of our tweaks, which was so appreciated. Allie worked very well with our wedding coordinator and the caterer. Allie was able to secure a hideaway space for us on the day of. Allie is a very nice person in general! The caterer/Overture handled the welcome sign in the lobby, the bathroom signs, and the signature cocktail signs, which shortened my to do list. Overture even let us into the main concert hall for pictures. I would have appreciated a bit more price transparency from Overture. After Allie suggested it, we requested Overture move the couches from one place to another and we didn’t realize it cost $300. We may not have done that if we had known there was a cost. Overall, we had a wonderful experience before and during the day of our wedding with Overture and would recommend them to anyone!!

I once took a historical walking tour of Madison where the tour guide referred to the Overture Center for the Arts as "Madison's crown jewel". Both the gorgeous Overture Hall and the historic Capitol Theater are visually stunning with exceptional audio quality. The dramatic architecture creates an experience of its own, offering many photo opportunities in areas connecting the event spaces. A particular highlight is the iconic view of the Wisconsin State Capitol, framed by the Promenade Lobby’s towering glass windows. What truly sets the Overture Center apart, in my opinion, is the staff. My experience working with the Events team was incredible—they impressed me with their professionalism, competence, and creativity. Their dedication and expertise are exactly what you’d expect from a world-class event venue, making the Overture Center truly live up to its reputation as one of Madison's most spectacular places for events.

We loved having our wedding at the Overture Center! We worked with Mary as our event manager and Haley as the catering coordinator, and both were wonderful. You can tell that the Overture staff are pros at hosting all kinds of events - they had great questions, guidance, and efficiency at every step of the process. We even sprung a few surprises on them the day before/day of and they went out of their way to help us make them successful. We really clicked with Mary in particular and appreciated her thoughtful approach and sense of humor! The space was beautiful - we had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the Upper Lobby (the balcony on the third floor), and reception in the Wisconsin Studio. With 52 guests, these spaces felt perfect - intimate but not cramped. And it was great not to have to worry about weather for our wedding weekend. Overall, a 10/10 experience - would recommend the Overture as an event venue!

Amanda Caldwell-Jernigan (Wedding & Events Coordinator, Catering a Fresco) and Taralinda Willis (Event Coordinator, Overture Center) are the dynamic duo that you dream of having for your big day. After seeing the Overture Center when my now husband and I went searching in Madison last year, it quickly became clear to us that it was exactly where we should have our wedding - and what sealed the deal were the immediate and awesome relationships that we formed with Amanda and Taralinda. Their dedication to the big and little things, their flexibility, consideration, meticulousness, and going above and beyond with planning a wedding where the bride and groom reside in Illinois, my parents are in New Jersey, and the wedding is in Wisconsin - was absolutely tremendous, and they executed everything with ease. They made the entire planning and execution process stress-free, simple to navigate in every way possible, and made our special day the best day of our lives so far. We had our ceremony on the Overture Hall Main Stage (which we highly recommend to all you music and theater fans out there!), the cocktail hour in the Promenade Lobby and the reception in the Main Lobby downstairs. Overall, everything was spectacular, the food was remarkable, and we danced the night away! We highly recommend them as well as the Overture Center for a wedding or any...

Tis review is for a wedding done this past weekend. I wanted to highlight a few people that went above and beyond for the happy couple. Christina was our event manager all day long and she was phenomenal. She was on top of every detail and was always friendly and available. She made our lives so much easier and I don' t know what we would have done without her. Amanda, the catering manager, was a shining star too! She helped us pull out a super secret surprise (with the help of the ever so friendly Jason in tech), and she was always checking in and making sure the bride and groom were taken care of. Being an event planner myself, its nice to see people going above and beyond their expected roles and being such great supports to the couples. I would highly recommend the Overture for any wedding or event due to the supportive staff! Other shout outs to Molly and Jane in catering. Molly was so kind and helped us clean up at the end of the night and did it with such sweetness and kindness. Jane helped us get milk last minute before the ceremony to help calm a very cranky two year old! Her quick moving ways helped us avoid a near catastrophe the day of. Thank you all for your hard work, I know what you do is hard work (as I do it too) and so I want you to know you are...
