DO NOT LIVE HERE! WORST APARTMENT EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.
Where do I even start? This place is an absolute nightmare. If you value your safety, your health, and your sanity, RUN FAR AWAY from this complex.
Management is HORRIBLE. They are rude, unresponsive, and borderline negligent. Maintenance requests go unanswered for weeks, and when they finally do show up, it’s like they found the repairman off Craigslist. My leaky ceiling got “fixed” with duct tape—TWICE.
The building is falling apart. There’s mold growing in the walls (you can smell it), the water pressure fluctuates between a trickle and full blast, and the elevators break down every other week. I once got stuck in the elevator for 45 minutes, and their "emergency response" was the leasing agent shrugging it off like it was normal.
Pests are out of control. Roaches and rats are everywhere. I’ve even seen them crawling around the gym equipment—if you can call two broken treadmills and a rusted-out stationary bike a gym. Pest control comes occasionally, but it’s clear they’re just putting on a show because the infestations keep getting worse.
Noise levels are insane. The walls are paper thin, so you’ll hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing—yelling, fighting, stomping, you name it. To make matters worse, management doesn’t enforce quiet hours, so good luck sleeping through the weekly impromptu raves in the parking lot.
Parking is a disaster. There aren’t enough spaces, and the ones that exist are either flooded or full of potholes. I’ve had my car towed TWICE despite having a parking pass. When I confronted the office, they gave me a “too bad, so sad” response and made me pay the impound fees.
Unsafe environment. The gates are always broken, so anyone can wander in. I’ve seen shady people loitering around, and there have been multiple break-ins, including my own apartment! When I reported it, management tried to gaslight me, saying, "Are you sure you locked your door?" No cameras, no accountability—just excuses.
Hidden fees galore. Expect your rent to mysteriously increase every month with bogus charges for things like “trash disposal,” “common area maintenance,” and “technology fees.” Meanwhile, the trash is constantly overflowing, and the Wi-Fi they force you to pay for never works.
This place is a scam and a lawsuit waiting to happen. I can’t wait to get out of my lease and move somewhere that doesn’t feel like a health hazard. Spare yourself the headache and avoid this dump at all costs. It’s not just bad—it’s borderline...
Read moreI'm very glad I decided to rent here. I've been here for a year and renewed for another year. Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and reasonable. All of the appliances and the apartment in general has held up and I haven't had to request maintenance yet. As a student I can say it's a reasonable distance from everything I need or want. With the new Nicholas Recreation Center opening up a block away and the Kohl Center as it's neighbor, this building has an extreme amount of value in the location category. Finally, I never hear my neighbors. Even if they're blasting music. Sometimes I would walk by my neighbor's apartment and the loud music would be leaking through the door. But when I am in my apartment I hear nothing. This is a huge plus for me. All in all, you would be hard-pressed to find a comparable building in this...
Read morePlease avoid signing a lease here.
The mail room here is just a hallway where they throw all your packages. I've had numerous packages lost in the mail.
They charge you when anything breaks whether it is your fault or not. We received a $2500 charge for the elevator getting stuck while we were inside it.
Parking here is also over sold. There is not enough spots for the amount of cars they have sold passes to.
We were not given enough key fobs for our apartment and had to pay a fine for the difference.
The front door was disabled for half of our lease and we were only able to use the basement door and side door.
The noisiest apartment I have ever lived in. Had to wear earplugs while sleeping because noise from nearby construction site.
Much better options in Madison for a cheaper price. Would...
