Binny's Beverage Depot - Niles — Attraction in Maine Township

If I could give this store a -0- I would. - This is for a purchase on 3/28 at 1:21 PM transaction #53700018040496016. Lets start off with the cashier on his phone texting when i was placing my purchase on the counter - I had 3 bottles and 3 12 pack of bottled beer. I had asked if I could get a box for the 3 bottles and he kind of shrugged and hissed and brought back a box that holds maybe 10 oz. cans which I stated that the box will not hold the 1.75 bottles. At this point he slams the box down on the counter. I had asked for a manager and she stated that we try the best for the boxes. While she the manager was standing there he shoved all the cases of the bottles together hard, I looked at the manager and said you saw that no- she said he was just moving them, i stated look at your camera's. Anyway as I was leaving i had said I will not visit this location again and as I was walking out the clerk stated to clap real loud in front of a lot of people in the store which made me unconfinable and embarrassed almost like I was a criminal There was another gentleman in there that could of been another manager and I said did you see that- his response was that was not directed toward you, yea right I was less than 10 feet away - maybe the owner should look at the films and retrain. I have been to the Binny's on Milwaukee near Dempster many times and it is a very good place to find anything associated with Spirits, Liquor, craft beer, wine, and all specialty Liquors. Dean what is a Wellspring of knowledge regarding all things in the wine section, and we really felt like we got an education and not just a bottle of wine. That type of customer service really sets Binny's apart from other liquor stores. All of the sales associates were extremely helpful so I could find everything I needed quickly. The prices are excellent and very reasonable. We found a very specific New Zealand wine (Matua) we were looking for and the guys were helpful and they put the boxes of my many items into my car for me. Unless you are a large quantity buyer at Binny’s they don’t regard you as a customer and cannot and will not sell you a sought after bottle of bourbon. If you are interested in a weller 12 or anything that is highly sought after you cannot be considered to purchase a bottle. So, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere where you can find the item on the shelf and on a first come first serve basis and not be lied to if they have the item. because you are not allowed to purchase it only their loyal customers and friends of employees. I spoke with a female manager at highland park store and she said this is absolutely corporate policy and was snippy and rude!
