Hunt's Photo & Video — Attraction in Manchester

Where to begin…..my girlfriend’s hobby has turned into a full blown photography side gig. She started with a Sony mirror less as a recommendation by a friend who is a professional photographer.

Over the last few years I’ve upgraded her lenses and her body and I knew at some point I wanted to upgrade to a top of the line body….but those suckers are expensive. To that point I had used nothing bud online sales speaking to nameless, faceless salesmen hoping to buy the correct equipment.

Last year she started taking classes through Hunt photo and she was ecstatic about her class and the resultant improvements in her photos have been amazing.

I finally decided to surprise her with the Sony Alpha 9III. I called and Jesse answered confirming that the body was in stock. By the time I arrived Jesse had already started charging the battery for me. He walked me through all of the features of the camera (way over my head). But the thing that was so impressive is that at the store he searched for every rebate / discount that I could qualify for. Being such a big purchase I was grateful for every dollar he could save me. But it didn’t stop there…..later in the day Jesse sent me an email and followed up with a phone call letting me know that he talked to their Sony rep and found another much larger rebate that I qualified for!! And that he was refunding me that additional rebate !!!! I mean who does that. When a sale is already done, who tries to find additional savings. And then takes the time to follow through.

Jesse was exemplary. I will never not use Hunts again for any camera need no matter how small. Jesse...

I first called Hunt's to see how their trade-in system works. The person I spoke with on the phone was helpful and said we can do it together when I get to the store. When I visited the store the next day, I was greeted right away and was immediately helped out. The process of trading in older gear was simple and was about what I expected it to be after doing some internet research (their website is great). Jesse R. was kind, helpful, and very knowledgable. Once the trade-in estimate was done, we began talking about lens options (which is why I was there). He was spot on with his knowledge and gave me a lot of options to consider. I listened and learned quite a bit, and Jesse never rushed me or made me feel anything other than valued as a customer and fellow photographer, despite my limited knowledge (this being my first time getting into full frame and Sony cameras). There was absolutely no pressure; quite the opposite, as he showed me many options and price points that seemed geared to what I had mentioned I was looking for. He showed me example of what the camera and lens' could do and he even offered for me to bring my new camera in and he will walk me through some of the settings that he likes (he has the same camera). Overall, the experience was extremely positive and I will certainly be back as a customer.
