Macy’s in Manchester, Connecticut, is absolutely horrifying. The store looks like it’s falling apart, as you can see from the video footage I took, the ceilings are literally collapsing. It’s unsafe and unsettling. I’ll never shop there again. Westfarms is a much better option. They have a far superior selection of men’s designer brands and consistently better sales. If you care about quality and safety, skip Manchester Macy’s altogether. Warm regards, Dennis Schleicher YouTuber with over 90K subscribers Instagram content creator with 52K followers

I went there to get help on some make up tips. I have no clue on the subject. 😂 The lady that I talk to didn’t know too much about the makeup exactly but she brought me to a lady that knew everything about it. And she was really friendly and helped me out a great deal! She was very patient and told me all the techniques and colors that look good on me. The first lady came back and said oh great I looked and even took a picture of me and the make up artist! I wished I could remember their names.

I like to Shop at Macy's and has been doing it for years in store or online....today's customer service at womes perfume section was wonderful and in kids section was horrible...that's why giving it 2 stars...Macy's should train their staff equally to be polite and courteous with customer...will not go back for shopping again to this Macys for sure

Me and Husband were really shocked at the poor customer service that was provided to us in Macy (Buckland Hills CT) in the furniture section. We had come in earlier (a day before) to inquire on the Sectional sofas and was helped by another sale person who was very courteous but when we went yesterday to buy the Sectional Sofa , there was another lady who did not clarify on the product , let us know on the price , without asking whether we had a plenti account and jus signed us up for another. There were so many things that went wrong. Though we ended up ordering the sofa because of the information provided by another sales person the day before but the day when we really ordered , we did not get much information and the sales person (Alice) behaved like she did not want us there. When we asked on a product , she moved away and started helping another customer. She was rude and didnt answer any of our questions. When we asked on the delivery date and estimated wait time , she told us it will take as long as it has to.

The Sales Person (Alice) kept telling us that we can cancel the order since the placed order can take long. No information or did she ask on confirmation on whether we were ok with the price. Though we ended up ordering but wish we could have ordered the earlier day with the other Lady who helped us.

i wish i can rate this service negative rather than giving even 1 star which the furniture section sales person Alice doesnt deserve. The 1 star given is for the courteous and professional person who helped us make a decision and providing details on the Sectionals.

Hope someone from Macy Senior Management or Customer Response team looks at this review and take action against staff who treat customers this way as loyal customers of Macy's like me might move to another store if treated this...

Macy’s can be a very expensive place to shop especially without coupons or special deals going on. Perhaps they should consider lowering there prices because the service that you get in my opinion should also reflect in these fancy prices. Anyhow, I was trying to reach a manager to discuss a very sensitive issue and the representative that was supposedly trying to page the manager could not reach him or her and when I told her that I needed to speak with him or her she then proceeded to tell me that she didn’t know what to tell me because they weren’t answering the page. RUDE. This is the Buckland hills mall Macy’s men’s department. So I wanted to speak with the manager because I am from the LGBT community and I am woman who dress Tom boyish. I wanted to buy some clothes from the men’s department and while trying to try on my wanted clothes a representative told me that I have to use the escalator to go downstairs to the women’s department to try on my men’s clothing. This to me, felt very sexist. What a horrible humiliating and unthoughtful on there part type of experience to offer to a customer. And by the way the fitting room that I was going to use did not even say men’s fitting room on the door it just said fitting room. Customers beware for inconsiderate and who knows what type of treatment when shopping with Macy’s, especially anyone from the LGBT 🏳️‍🌈 community...

Before the Covid-19 shut down we drove to the closest Macy’s Buckland Hills(40 mins away) to view their sectionals. We decided to go with one of them, the Wedport in a custom color that isn’t available online to purchase. Covid-19 shut down all of our local stores since March until this past Saturday 5/23 with new hours of 11am-7pm. On Sunday 5/25, I called their phone number to confirm that their Furniture dept would be open but it went right to voicemail so we drove the 40 mins to Macy’s at Buckland in Manchester. We waited in the Furniture dept 20 mins for assistance while several employees walked past us with no greeting or offer of assistance. I walked to a CheckOut in the men’s section where the cashier told me he would send the Department Manager over. We continued to wait another 20 mins. I approached the same cashier who then said that there was no one covering the Furniture dept that day and that the Department Manager couldn’t come help. He asked for my name, phone number, and the furniture items I wanted to purchase and promised that on Monday 5/25 as soon as they opened the Department Manager would call me. It is now Friday 5/29 and no one has ever called. Very disappointed in the customer service, especially...
