Office Depot — Attraction in Manhattan Beach

I tried to figure out how long it would take to get a marketing postcard printed through Office Depot's website and it was impossible unless you place an order. I had put through a faux order until checkout to find that I could pick up the next day, which didn't turn out to be the case when I placed my actual order. At that time, I was told it would take 10-15 business days. I called the Manhattan Beach copy center to see if I could get them in 3 days if I placed this order online now and I was told they would do it for me. Once I placed the order and they had my money, I called the next morning to make sure everything was going smoothly but it wasn't. My order was sent to a 3rd party for printing and then was quoted a price 3x as much to get it by the morning they originally promised me. When I went to online customer service to see if they could actually speed up the delivery, the best they could do was shave off 2 days. If I hadn't found a local business that was able to print (for less than what Office Depot charged!), I would have been left without a marketing piece for a 235 person event and I would have lost a lot of money. Office Depot's website is difficult, their staff is clearly untrained and their customer service is inept to do much when there is a problem because they don't actually print everything in-house. I went to Office Depot because I needed to choose paper style for my grandma's funeral program to print and cut, print a 24x36 poster, and print a 24x36 photo for her casket portrait. Chris, who assisted me during this difficult time in my life, went above and beyond. He was patient, compassionate, friendly, professional, knowledgable, had a keen eye, quick, and just overall a nice person. He really helped me make decisions that I was having a hard time with given I am overwhelmed with coordinating my grandma's funeral. After printing rough draft after rough draft, we finally decided on paper style, and he made it happen. The poster (laminated and mounted) was done within hours-he called when it was ready to pick up. The next day I brought the final draft of the funeral program in, and it was also printed and cut within hours- he also let me know that it was ready to be picked up. Further, after the 24x36 photo was printed by Reina (super nice, too), I brought in to have the photo cropped, so it could fit into the frame that I purchased. Reina was not in, but Chris had walked into his shift, and went right over to me "before clocking in" and checked in on me. He let me know that the he would be right back, and within minutes the photo was cropped. I am super grateful for the EXCELLENT customer service that I received from Chris, and Reina. I had a fantastic experience thanks to Seth, who went above & beyond when I came in to get some printing done for a baby shower. He was kind, knowledgeable & incredibly helpful….the kind of customer service that truly stands out. He made sure everything was just right & took the time to walk me through the process w/ patience & care.

I actually tried to complete the customer survey (from my visit on June 25th, 2025), but unfortunately, all the print on it had faded & I wasn’t able to read the survey code. If there’s a way to have it resent, I’d love to fill it out & give Seth the recognition he deserves!
