I rated this particular store a one star because I felt like I had an extremely horrible bad experience, no welcoming or smiling and I felt so decriminated. No customer service what so ever!! I’ve been to other stores and I always get a generous greeting. And usually when I need help someone always ask me if I needed help before I even ask, but this store I felt like they were watching me or waiting for me to steal or something. Anyways I was looking at some of their foundations and I asked one of the workers if she can tell me the difference between the longwear and weightless foundations because I was looking for some coverage and she looked at me puzzled and said, “Obviously, the foundation that your holding in your hand is not weightless, the boxed is label longwear.” And she rolled her eyes and just walked away as if she had an attitude. Then I went over to the fragrance section and asked one of the workers if they would offer me a free sample of the fragrance. As he was pouring the tester fragrance bottle into the sample spray he only gave me 1/4 which equals to the amount of Only two or three sprays, with no “Your Welcome!” or anything he looked like he didn’t want to be there. Then I walked over to the cash register and all of the workers seem shocked that I didn’t say anything and I was making a purchase for the foundation. Then after my purchase I asked the manager if it would be ok if I could get a full size sample spray fragrance and looked at my and said “Don’t you already have one”? I felt so embarrassed, like why would make me feel less than. So I stood by the door and she went to pour another sample and brought it back to me completely empty! And said have a great night. I didn’t noticed it until I left the store. The store was not even busy to begin with. But I felt very embarrassed and so discriminated that I began to cry. I don’t know if it was because of the location they thought are a high ended store or what but it was very disrespectful, cruel and very rude. And everyone should be treated with the...
Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing and humiliating experience at the Sephora in Manhattan Beach. On June 12th, I bought a blush and eyeliner for a friend overseas. I showed the sales associate a photo of the exact items I needed and made it clear multiple times that the purchase was not for me. She checked me out using a handheld device, didn’t offer me a receipt, and said it would be emailed. I never received it — and was never informed of Sephora’s 30-day return policy.
When I came back on August 2nd to return the items (which turned out to be the wrong shades), the manager was rude and dismissive. She claimed I bought the items at Kohl’s (completely false), refused to look up the transaction, and told me I should have looked up the return policy online. She also said it’s not the salesperson’s job to tell customers the return policy — which is absurd. She didn’t even offer to re-bag the items after refusing the return. I had to ask for a bag just so I didn’t walk out carrying the products with no receipt.
When I told her I wouldn’t be coming back, she said, “That’s fine. Do whatever you want.” Easily the worst customer service I’ve experienced at a Sephora. Avoid...
Read moreMy little cousin is in town, so I got guilted into taking her to Sephora… and by guilted I mean she asked me to take her and I said yes ahahahaha I’m the easiest get with her.
Upon entry, I was hit with what I thought was chemical warfare. Thousands of scents amalgamated together to form one of the strongest smells that have ever hit my nostrils. I squinted and almost fell to my knees, but I couldn’t show weakness with my little cousin present.
We wandered about the maze that is Sephora, and I had NO idea how deep this make up thing ran. I mean I knew, but I really didn’t KNOW as I don’t have a sister.
I am a pretty curious person, so ended up asking my cousins thousands of questions to the point where I don’t even remember anything due to pure information overload. My brain just switched off and blacked out essentially. The brain is a funny thing, a real interesting organ.
As we were checking out, my jaw hit the floor when I saw a $200+ price point for like 7 little items. They are hittin LICKS in here ahhahaa.
