Wonder Workshop Children's Museum — Attraction in Manhattan

We had a great field trip to Wonder Workshop with our preschoolers. It is a nice little place. Everything was very entertaining for our students. Different environments for them to rotate to and learn in from room to room and outside.

It is run by volunteers, we were told, so kind of explains the situation but the place looks a little run down or just needs some good TLC to clean up outside after all the storms and somethings inside need attention to fix or clean or paint. 😉

Finding different activites for a 5yo is hard enough, so I have reviewed Wonder work shop multiple times before pumping my kid up to go try it. I tried calling Friday twice and Saturday during google posted hours with no answer. I was trying to see if a reservation was needed. So we took the plunge, drove from Abilene to Manhattan arrived around 3pm and found no parking so parked around the corner, just to find it was closed. Sign said it would open back at 2?!
