So we stayed here because it was close the the funeral home we needed to go to. Stayed here 3 nights. When I called the hotel direct to make my reservation I was NOT informed the pool was closed. Upon reading reviews after we stayed I read that someone was told it was because of covid however I was told the pool has maintenance issues They may want to get their story straight. Upon our arrival the front door was locked and it took 5 minutes before anyone showed up to let us in When I asked why the door was locked at 3pm the answer stunned a scared me. It's a bad neighborhood so we lock the doors. OMG what did I get my family into? There are 5 of us. The room had 3 towels. When I requested more I was was told we are limited and here is 3 more. I asked about fresh ones for the next day and also requested maid service twice and never got it. We also had the previous guests leftover food in our fridge. I had to ask for towels every day and trash bags. If the maid service had just taken our old used towels maybe they would have some available. And if the pool is not working why couldn't they give us some of those towels? The TV remote didn't work so we had to call about that. The sleeper sofa mattress was so bad it would have been better to sleep on the hard floor. When I booked I asked is the rooms were updated and she said yes. Well, if there were it was 15 years ago. Upon checking in we were told the restaurant serves breakfast 6am to 9 am. We went down to eat before our funeral & it was not open for lack of staff. Oh and I can't forget to mention that 1 elevator didn't work well. We hit number 5 for the 5th floor and every time it went to the 6th. So we tried hitting 6 and still went to 6. All this stuff became our saving grace of comical relief for the sadness we were feeling from the loss of my husband's Dad, my father in law & my kids Grandpa. But I learned my lesson and will NEVER stay here again. And I suggest no one does. Oh, and I won't mention that not 1 staff member cared enough to say sorry for any of it. They made it sound like "it is what it is". This hotel deserves ZERO stars! I'll be staying at a Hampton Inn...
Read moreStayed for three nights when we first into the hotel the lady at the front desk was nice answered all our questions what the one thing that we did not like what she had blood on her nose so after we got our room we noticed she was walking out of the room she assigned us to we walked in the room and I'm a little OCD so I started checking the room out first thing I noticed was candy wrappers under the bed skirt then I noticed a pill under the bed skirt by the end table then I looked at the queen size bed over by the wall and noticed there was a pile of Blood on the blanket clearly the lady that checked us in bent over to pick something up off the floor and got blood on the blanket we did not complain or bring it to their attention I do the blanket off to the side and continue to clean the room down with bleach the day that we signed out we overslept a little they called us and woke us up we got up immediately and started packing and cleaning up it took about an hour and a half to clean up and pack up so we rode the elevator down and the front desk proceeded to tell us that they were taking our deposit for smoking because we were late checking out we told them everything that was wrong with the room and told them that was wrong for them to keep our money because we told them that we were up packing and they said that was fine but as we told them that was everything wrong with The Room all they were worried about is why we didn't tell them everything was wrong so they can move us to another room I simply told them if one room looks like that I'm sure they all do and I just cleaned it myself 4 after an hour of arguing with him they gave me my $200 deposit back and then we left the janitor slash maintenance guy judge me and my boyfriend they profiled us and said that we can afford to lose the $80 which I thought was the rudest thing that they could do I don't understand how a maintenance man can do that and as we were eating and breakfast and their restaurant the same man asked us to pay for his breakfast so if you are considering staying there I would reconsider and choose a...
Read moremade a reservation at this location as they indicated there was an indoor pool. When making the reservation we stated we chose this location because of the indoor pool and hot tub. The individual confirming the reservation stated they did in fact have a pool and hot tub. We arrived and were told that the pool was not available as there were "problems" and they were in the process of draining it. Mind you, the check in clerk wasn't sure "if the pool" was operational and had to call maintenance. We cancelled our reservation not only because of the fact that the pool had not been operational for sometime but the lobby appeared to be dirty. I noticed that the couches in the lobby were somewhat stained and the pillows on the couch were the same. Furthermore, the ceiling had numerous areas of stains. One other individual was also asking about the availability of the pool when we were waiting for a response and the check in clerk indicated that to enter the pool you either go up the 2nd floor then take the steps down as the pool is below the main entrance. There used to be a service elevator for the pool but that hasn't been operational for sometime. Huh.... But, if you think that is strange, she said you could also walk through the check in desk at the entrance, walk OUTSIDE the front door, turn left then walk down the grassy area to enter the pool. Sure, that would work just great during the winter season to have to walk outside to walk back inside to get to the indoor pool. Are you kidding me??? I swear I couldn't make this up and I truly though she must be joking when she told us that but unfortunately she wasn't. Surrounding area is very, very questionable. Lots of folks just "hanging out" in the parking lot which is in the back of the hotel. Very bizarre as you need to park in the back and then walk around to enter the hotel. No thanks. Cannot imagine walking around after dark in that area under any circumstances. Would never,...
