The building and the Carrousel are beautiful! Of course, paying for parking stinks... I took our two daughters and two grandchildren (3 months & 18 months) yesterday and they had a very nice time. My eldest daughter was concerned with how fast the Carrousel was spinning... It actually made her quite dizzy. And it does spin fast enough that I could really feel the "wind" while standing approximately eight feet away. The scent and availability of popcorn is nice. And it is not expensive at all to ride. I purchased 6 tickets for only $5, which translated to three rides for all four of them (kids under 2 yrs old ride for free). My only real "beef" is that every employee that I encountered, from the Carrousel Operator to the ladies in the Gift Shop, seemed not to enjoy their jobs at all. The man running the Carrousel never smiled even once and the Cashier in the Gift Shop wasn't extremely familiar with the Inventory and had difficulty answering our (easy) questions about the products. In summary, it is a beautiful place and most kids will have a good time. But, it is not "magical" like it could be if the Employees we're a little more happy, outgoing and motivated.

What economical fun for everyone! Indoor for year round enjoyment! October has been extra special because in the evening they had it running backwards! It's also wheelchair accessible! We were actually there for a birthday party and it was really cute, unpretentious and fun for all. It's attached to a gift shop and they also had hotdogs, brats, applesauce pouches, etc for sale to make it a fun and easy dinner/snack option too. The carousel itself is gorgeous with a large variety of animals to choose from, not just horses. Whether you're looking for a weekend treat or a road trip, they are definitely worth checking out!

This place is always so fun. Rides are about 6 minutes. You can get 50 tickets for $30, I think. That's a lot of rides. You can save unused tickets for the next time. They close the bay door/windows when the weather changes to cold. They host birthday parties and the gift shop has the most reasonably priced squishmallows I have seen. The conductor is great and there are stationary animals and a few bench seats for those uncomfortable with up and down rides. They decorate the carousel for holidays. Me, my kids and the grands love it!

Very cute for the littles ones. The 10 year old even enjoyed it a few times. Reasonably priced and a big selection. Some are stationary and some go up and down. There are two sleigh rides that you can sit with very littles with. This is just one huge carousel. They provide rocking chairs for bystanders. The surrounding area is pretty nice as well. Bring quarters for metered parking. SUMMER HOURS: Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm Sunday 11am - 5pm

It is a magical beautiful carousel. Each horse/cat/ostrich/giraffe/etc was a beautiful piece of art. My 4 year old sons favorite was a one-legged pirate cat, which he named Seaweed. My 6-yr old daughters favorite was Sir Killingsly- a knightly steed. It’s not a museum tho. I was a little bummed about that. I like museums. Still it’s delightful and magical af if you can get any aged child off their phone & into the moment (parents you too).
