Park Hotel and conference center — Hotel in Mansfield

Currently staying here and let’s just say I would’ve been better staying at Motel 6! I am so unhappy here and it makes it worse that the only reason me and my 2 yr old and my fiance are staying here is because we are waiting for a house to be ready for us to rent and have no where else to go. We were told 1 1/2 weeks and it’s looking to be longer and this hotel was closest to town where we needed to be. We booked for 4 days the first time and went to extend our stay the night before we were to check out and was told to come back in the AM, this is after our first night here they had to change our room because I stepped on glass in the first room and cut my foot and when I went down to show them I also showed them the huge whole in the wall and the giant gap in the ceiling that stretched across the whole room and all they did was charge my room and said they knew about the ceiling and wall. I came back the next morning HOURS before check out and extended my stay (or thought I did) until the end of the week and went back to my room. Around 11:15ish this lady who I thinks name tag said she was a manager knocked on my door and when I opened it she looked at me and ask “so what are you guys doing?” And when I replied confused saying “huh” she then said “so are you guys staying on leaving?” In the most stank way I’ve ever heard someone in management talk to any type of guest. I then explained that I had already extended my stay and confirmed with her the young lady’s name who had done so for me earlier. She wrote something down and then just walked away . Not to mention ; our 2nd or 3rd morning here ever fire alarm in the building went off at 7:32 Am and we were told it was nothing it that it was technical difficulties and come to find out one of the adult guests pulled the fire alarm and she was arrested and later came back and they extended her stay!!! Housekeeping literally came our 4th day here Ava there was after me asking 3 times for bedding because my son had an accident in the bed and we hadn’t seen them AT ALL before then and when they did come they made our bed with the same bedding that was already on there and didn’t even make my sons bed , trash was piled up at the end of the hall almost daily for at least 2 days at a time that I seen. I could go on and on with things but long story short I will NEVER be staying here again and we are considering very much to just leave early and find...

Currently staying here for the eclipse. I got a suit and I paid way too much. -Every single light in the room is a different color. There are 10 of them. The one in the bathroom has 4 bulbs and one of them is different. Some of them buzz because they are fluorescent and flicker on. The buzzing is getting annoying. -The light next to the bathroom doesn't work. -The light between the bed sometimes works. -They didn't pay for cable so your tv is "Vizeo Watch Free" which is really laggy. Literally waiting 4 to 5 seconds between button pushes. -the kitchen sink is clogged. I filled up a cup of water and the water is still in the sink. -The shower curtain rod is pulling out of the wall. Literally. -Dirt marks on "clean sheets". It wasn't much, but when there is something not white on a white sheet, it's easily noticed. -Fabric couch has non-matching faux leather cushions, with really large, oddly sweet smelling, stain on the underside. -Bathroom toilet has brown water stains. -Bathroom ceiling tiles are a little busted. -The office chair i'm currently sitting in has the leather peeling off. -Elevators are literally busted with panels falling off in one of them

For booking a suite for the eclipse and for a little mini vacation for myself (over $300 for 2 nights) I figured I would get a bit of a nicer room, especially with all the good reviews. There are some good things about the room.

-The A/C works really well. -The little fridge works.

I believe that's all. I'm really disappointed and I'll probably just leave early and try to rest at home. I finally got a suite that I was excited for and literally a regular room from a motel 8 would have been nicer and more relaxing. I waisted my money. If this were a regular single room I would just think it's a rough hotel, but this is supposed to be a suite, the best they offer and this is just sad and gross.

I also talked to the staff about some of the problems in the room and they said they couldn't do anything about it. They offered to put me in another room, but there wasn't one because it was fully booked for the eclipse. It seemed like they were just going to leave the problems as they were and put me in another room rather than fix the problems.

12/11/2024 Mansfield is a beautiful place nestled with beautiful old churches. It’s the drugs and the people living in it that have ruined the charm and safety of the tourist visiting this town. I was a frequent visitor to your hotel during the Holidays until last week just to get away from the city life. Just a tip, there are 3 to 4 entrances to the Hotel, you’ll need to have a security guard to keep a watch on these addicts entering the hotel. I did notice the rise in the number of homeless outside the theatre and by the bus stop. I do believe the Indian woman working on the front desk that evening, did notice the couple walking in, that I saw on the staircase but she chose to stay quiet. I would definitely love to visit your Hotel but the day I notice a change in your reviews.

12/10/2024 What in the world has happened to this Hotel? I literally had the worst check in with some girl from Nepal or India who literally drove me to my nerves end as she struggled with English. The room has absolutely horrible, when I tried taking the staircase because there was something wrong with the elevator, there was a couple sitting on the staircase with syringes in their hand. They were like ‘oh hi, we mean no harm’. I was shocked and froze right there, I immediately decided to sneak out on the quiet and didn’t even bother informing the front desk that I was checking out.
