The Mansfield Playhouse — Attraction in Mansfield

We visited here for the first time last night to see 4 Klunkers and a Chevy for their NYE show. The show was absolutely wonderful! We had a great time and the performance had us in stitches the entire time.

The playhouse itself is in an antiquated building, but it's clear that caring people are involved to keep it going. I dont believe the facility could accommodate individuals who require a wheelchair (which didn't affect us but just an FYI for those it might).

The show we saw I guess was in the smaller theater room (we did not get to see the main theater room) and seating was tight! Thankfully we've been to similar venues in the past so it did not bother us but some may feel a bit cramped.

They offer a small selection of beer, wine, and soft drinks which we felt were reasonably priced for a theater setting. They offer a few snack items for food such as candy bars. It would be nice if they expanded on their food offerings, but we can see why that would be difficult given the limited space. The free popcorn was appreciated!

Doug and the team at Mansfield Playhouse made us feel welcomed and even let us get a quick peak of the theatre before the performance began. Mansfield Playhouse is a hidden gem that takes you back to its iconic roots nearly 100 years ago (a little over 50 in its current location). But the cast is made up of a talented and devoted team of community members. Admission is affordable if you are just getting into the theatre scene or want to check out a local performance that won't break the bank. The theater is a cozy and intimate setting and most seats should give you a decent view of the stage. Parking was also convenient, free and on premises. Hope to visit again in the future. And if you are an aspiring performing artist they encourage you to audition for one of their future...

We have seen several shows here in the last couple years. We have enjoyed most of them! Recently saw the Frozen play done by the kids. I'd like to say that this play the kids put on was so well done! All of the kids did a great job with their parts. So nice to see kids enjoying something other than video games! This was a Christmas gift to our granddaughter and she loved it as much as her grand and great grand parents!! Keep up the great work, we enjoyed the play and the enthusiasm the kids had.
