EmpowerMe Arts — Attraction in Maple Valley

EmpowerMe Arts has a huge variety of crafts you can learn, taught by talented professionals. I have a blast every time I go. Sarah is a wonderful teacher. She's very affirming and creates a lovely, relaxed environment for her students of all ages. She's supportive and joyful with them, especially with the kiddos. She knows how to make an experience fun and worthwhile. She's always looking out for her teachers and interns, she has their back. She takes a genuine interest in their lives and will foster opportunity for them. It seems like she really cares, it's a pleasure to be around. The other teachers are fun too, everyone seems like a master of their craft. And I learn things there that I don't have opportunity to learn anywhere else. They have classes about trendy art forms, resin, pour painting, polyclay, in addition to classics like painting, etc. I always leave EmpowerMe classes adoring whatever I've made, which feels great because I often dislike my work when I'm left to my own devices. Their instructions are easy to understand, fun to follow along to, and designed to set me up for success. I love EmpowerMe. 10/10...

Sarah teaches my son both piano and singing lessons. From my very first zoom interaction with her, I could tell how kind and patient she is. She has a special gift with children. My son loves attending his weekly piano lesson with her. She has a great no pressure approach which is helpful with kids’ busy schedules. After the Christmas caroling performance, my son gave both his father and I the biggest hug and thanked us for signing him up for signing lessons. He had the most genuine smile the entire performance. We thank Sarah for making the performance so fun and not stressful...

I have worked closely with Sarah and the EMA team (staff, interns, students) for several years now. The heart and passion Sarah holds for the community is unmatched. She works tirelessly to do what she can to bring out the best in/ for her students and the interns she takes under her wing each summer.

On a personal note, I am looking forward to see the growth in my little one as he is finally old enough to start taking lessons with Ms. Sarah.
