Total waste of money. $96 for $45 worth of very bad food. Based on portion size and quality I give it 1 star. 457 reviews with an Ave of 4.3 stars is puzzling and deceiving. Maple valley Black Diamond has some very solid restaurants, that is the baffling part. WHO is rating these guys ?
Here is the best way I can describe the quality in terms of taste and texture: They got a discount on day old Safeway Chinese Orange Chicken, warmed it up the next day and served. It was stale overcooked heavily breaded low quality meat. Cheap Chinese under the guise of Thai food. Phad See Ew was edible, theTom Young prawns soup was simply nasty. The Pineapple Fried Rice……, it was the worst I have ever had. The rice and pineapple flavors were destroyed in what appeared to taste like a curry base. See picture in their Menu and you will get the idea. It taste worse than it looks. Perhaps one day in the past they rated high, but I am Judging based on today, my first (and last) time there. Help is hard to find these day, but you are better off closed than substituting Safeways Day Old special then...
Read moreI have been a regular customer at this place for years, but unfortunately, the quality and value have declined significantly. After a terrible experience yesterday, we have decided not to eat here again. The food is expensive, contains minimal meat, and lacks authentic flavor. The final straw was the poorly prepared rice. I ordered red curry for over $14, and the rice was mushy as if it had been cooked with too much water. My wife, who is Vietnamese, and I eat rice often, and this rice was so bad we ended up throwing it away. The red curry had very little chicken and tasted pre-made. I understand restaurants are struggling, but please don't cut corners on your recipes to save costs. If the rice is poorly made, remake it instead of serving it. We have had many good meals here before, but now the food is overpriced, poorly made, and...
Read moreI really loved this place the first 2-3 times I purchased from them. But, the last 2 times (recently 10/19) the portions are smaller, the price had increased and as I forgot to specify the degree of heat for my entree-they just made it plain. They are still a very busy place, but I have felt rushed the last two times I went there. I felt like I was bothering them when I asked about the seasoning. 2 orders of fried rice for $40 I’m pretty sure is out of line for the portion size and the reduced amount of meats in the portion. Just disappointed. Will find a new place for my Thai fried rice fix. I was going there once every 2 months. So I know I’m not a real “regular” but my money is still green and should be...
