Iâve refrained from writing before, but every single time I deal with âCindy Tâ at the Maple Valley autozone, sheâs incredibly rude, argumentative, and disrespectful.
the first time i dealt with her i came in to return a starter because i was sold the wrong one. I didnât have a receipt, but i am well aware that you can look up my order history by my phone numberâ iâve been buying the majority of my parts from autozone for yearsâ she then proceeded to feed me this crock of crap about how âshe canât do the return because i NEED to keep the paper receipt because theyâre moving away from the digital systemââ itâs 2024 thatâs complete bs & her coworker that sold me the original starter also told me the exact opposite.
She then proceeds to look up my order history on the computer and start the return (but i thought she said this was impossible?). She gets half way done and stops and says âi canât do the return, you paid cash and i donât have enough cash in my drawer.â This turned out to be ANOTHER LIE because when I made a bit of a stink, she went to the back and magically found the money she needed!!! She then moved us to another till, and it turned out that drawer had plenty of cash in it too! It seems to me this lady obviously doesnât want her job and should move on.
This last time i came in, i came in SIMPLY to buy brake pads. I had the part pulled up on my phone and showed it to her as i approached the counter. I showed her the exact item i needed from behind the counter, but she then ignores me and instead starts asking me what car i have, what package, what engine it has (all irrelevant questions because they all use the exact same pads, the same pads i have pulled up on my phone). After i give her all the information sheâs demanding, she starts trying to upsell me on more premium pads. I say, âmaâam, i just want these padsâ and show her again. Then she snapped, and with the attitude of a scorned teenager says, âyou could have just given me the part number instead of making me go through all that.â
âmaking you go through all thatâ ??? you mean doing your job? and first of allâ I MADE IT AS EASY ON YOU AS POSSIBLE!!! I was shocked and appalled to learn this time that she is the STORE MANAGER! Iâve been shopping at this location specifically since i was a teenager, and this is how youâre treating your customers now?? You arenât the only auto parts store in the town and i will KINDLY start shopping at OâRileyâs again. This lady needs to retire because she obviously doesnât want...
Read moreThis AutoZone location has an employee named Mark, and all I can say is you are very lucky to have him. I had a roadside emergency today Sunday May 24th at about 2 p.m. while riding for Recreation on my motorcycle. My battery suddenly stopped working, as is common when you don't change them every season, so I dialed up the nearest auto parts store in hopes I would find a sympathetic ear on the other end. I did not have a part number, I did not know what type or size but I knew what kind of bike I had. Mark answered and was immediately exhibiting exemplary customer service skills, he was an active listener, he mirrored what I was saying and he found the battery that I needed asking only a few questions. Then I asked if there was any chance of a delivery for the battery as I had no way to get to him and it was near three miles away. Mark didn't hesitate offering personal assistance, as a company delivery was out of the question, after asking where I had broken down he offered to stop by and drop the battery personally. Mark came to the location where I was, poured the acid into the battery with rubber gloves safely, On the Roadside....jumped me from his own personal vehicle and made sure my battery was strong before he left. I don't know if everyone reading this will understand what he saved me today......but my bike wouldn't have left before dark and I more than likely would have paid a little bit of money for an Uber back and forth. It's easy to not volunteer to help someone in a bad situation, but it takes a next-level person and customer service associate to do what Mark did for me today. I want everyone to know, if you need some part and you're just looking for a sympathetic ear,...
Read moreRented a tool this morning when I got home to use the tool found that it was damaged and could not work no big deal I brought it back to the store and let them know it was not working and they should mark it so nobody else rents it. When the employee turned and asked the manager Stephanie about marking it damaged she said he damaged it so yes mark it damaged. I said I did not damage it, it was damaged when I got it she said it was brand new and I said it was not then she opened the container to look at it and when she saw it was not brand new she then said we test everything before it goes out on rental and I said this wasn't tested. I took offense to being accused of damaging the tool more than once and when I said something about blaming the customer she took offense because she said she did not say directly and pointed at me that I broke it that it was ok to insinuate I broke it by saying it was new when I rented it and that they check everything before it goes on rental that that is not accusing me. I then told her just stop talking and trying to defend herself so I could finish my transaction and get out of there she said to finish my transaction and get out and never come back. She told me to have a blessed day so I guess to make her feel good about herself. Been to this store many times and never had a problem. I have no problem going elsewhere. She also told me she would make note of my name so I guess now I am...
