Bargain Basket Thrift Shop — Attraction in Marco Island

I love this place most of the year, even though they only have one handicapped parking space.

I have been avoiding it because it's so busy and there isn't enough accessable parking, but I stopped by today and every legal spot (as well as every semi-legal spot...) was taken. Had to wait, which would be fine except there isn't even anywhere to wait that isn't in the way.

Something needs to be done to make it more accessible.

Maybe the tiny parking lot could be residents only. (Seems like most of us are disabled ANYWAY.) or a way to sign up for a parking space? Golf cart rides to our cars? I don't know.

It's just too far and too dangerous. Gonna look into the handicapped CAT to see if they offer assistance since I can't think of another way I can be a customer until the seasonal folks go home.

I'm glad y'all are doing well, you deserve it, but it is time to find some solutions to the seasonal...

Cons: Overpriced compared to other thrift stores. Better prices at Goodwill and Salvation Army. Terrible parking. The rear door has an "OPEN" sign on it, but if a customer tries using it, then they will tell you to walk around the building and use the front door. Wouldn't common sense tell them to NOT put an "OPEN" sign where customers are not allowed to enter??? A smart person would use a sign that says something like "No entry. Use front door."

That still is not a good reason to use that sign there. It is misleading. A smart person would make a sign that reads "Donations here", NOT just slap an "OPEN" sign on a door that is not...

By far the best thrift shop I've been to! There's a little bit of everything. It may not be as big as some of the other ones, but what they do have is quality stuff at good prices. Thrift stores nowadays charging arm and a leg for stuff that they get donated. But this place is like a real thrift store. The name bargain basket shoots it perfect cuz you are getting a basket of bargains. I would recommend this place to any thrift or out there. You will not find better prices and quality. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I saw a few things I like and didn't have a vehicle to put it in but they stored it for me in the back so I can come back and pick it up. Amazing...
