Hello, I am reaching out on behalf of myself and all of the upset citizens of Maricopa!! Something needs to be done about the internet services offered here in Maricopa and about the Orbitel company that is running like a monopoly here!! Please go on Google and look at all the negative reviews all stating the same things, horrible customer service, bad prices and service options, hidden and additional fees not mention to the customer and the fact that we are all forced to use them and be treated however they choose to treat us due to the fact that they know we have no other options! There are over 200 reviews mostly which are 1 star and that is because you have to give a start. I do not think this many people are lying about what is going on with this company. I have only been with Orbitel a week and I have had the run around by 6 people and 2 technicians already, my internet has been horrible and my installation was bad. I am now being told I have to upgrade my system and my megs to get the internet I need yet this was not mentioned conveniently to me from the beginning. They said my house is to big for what I had instaled, well again then why did they install something from the beginning they knew would not work properly! Then they sent a technician out here only to tell me about the upgrade and that without it my internet would continue to not work, so basically I am paying $60 a month for nothing. On top of that now they say the new system requires an upgrade to 100 megs and a new installation fee!! Keep in mind they just installed the last system a week ago and charged me for that! Now they want to charge me again because of there errors!! They have also told me my bill would go up to $86 a month and gave me no other options. When I complained to them that this was there fault and my services and help have been horrible for a week they did nothing just kept making excuses and were very rude. I asked to speak to a manager and was sent to voice-mail and have still not received a call back! This is ridiculous and absurd!! The people of Maricopa deserve better then this!! Especially during these times when we all have children at home trying to do online school and many parents having to work from home!! Our situations are hard enough as it is we don't need this added stress of poor service and harassment and being taken advantage of!! Many people cant afford food right now let alone an over priced internet bill with a company that doesn't even provide good internet. We are all stuck though because we don't have the power to do much and the company knows it and does not care about our needs! So I am hoping that the Mayor of our city will!! Please help us do something to make this situation right and help out all of the families struggling with this issue! We need a better internet company! Please allow other company's to come into our town or at least put Orbitel in there...
Read moreWe need to get together a class action lawsuit to get out of paying for poor service and poor product that we are paying into our HOA. Tried calling the orbitel office all day (5/25) and no answer. Tech Support is the only number that will answer and they can't do anything about it either.
The cable and internet service is terrible and feels like from the early 90s. The equipment is very outdated, they change their website and the buffoons there failed to get the accounts and passwords reconnected. They can't even get the account number right. Sucks that we have to pay for basic cable through our HOA and get crappy service. Been like this for years. I've emailed them let's see if I get a response. pffft. Getting ready to cut the cord (oh wait I can't because it's billed into our HOA). If I can get good internet out here. Century link doesn't seem to be much better.
UPDATE: Not getting better. Tried calling them for over an hour and no answer. Even called the Sun Lakes location. NOTHING. Frustrating that we are all suffering because of the awful deal the home builders made with these jokers. They're just collecting our money without providing any service.
