Jim's Music & Teaching Center — Attraction in Marquette

I don't even know where to start with this place... From awesome employee personnel to all the cool gear and gadgets from vintage to state-of-the-art. Super helpful employees all around. If there's one person that can't answer your question there's another that likely specializes in whatever you're inquiring. I've been a Jim's customer since I was a little kid and have been shopping there since, and nowhere else. I highly recommend this place for all music/audio related needs, wants, questions, or to just go in and jam a guitar you have no intention on buying, BUT that's why there's a payment plan option. Stopped by Jim’s music looking for a large portable speaker. Needed one that connected to my phone easily, lasted longer than 2 hours, and still sounded great. With that tall order in mind, Josh Carlson, the store manager, was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful with a few options for me to pick from. He mentioned some of the same products he uses from his own experience on stage. I am very satisfied with the FreePlay LIVE, and everything he told me about the product is holding true so far. Will be back to this store for any of my needs in music department...

My daughter had a wonderful experience there with her violin lessons and there are several very talented local musicians on hand to offer expertise and guidance; whether for teaching or questions about instruments, repairs, recording, becoming a musician - they can offer it all.
