This is the best Thai food I have ever had , I came here on vacation, I have tried Thai food many times and always ordered the peanut pad Thai (not from here ), now this place does not have that option on the menu , because this is an authentic Thai restaurant! so I ordered the En san pad Thai , the sauce is a little sweet and very very good , then I had a side of peanut sauce on the side to try but found that I actually prefer the dish the way it was originally made . It was truly delicious, fresh and really great quality of ingredients, I also ordered the crab ragoon wontons, I’ve only ever had from a Chinese restaurant, these one were truly delicious, I absolutely hate crab and all sea food but this was mostly all cream cheese and it was so creamy and just really good quality ingredients it was the best crab Rangoon I have ever had in my life and virtually no crab meat inside and it’s listed on the menu that it is imitation crab meat for those who don’t like the crab taste. I honestly don’t even think I saw any chunks of imitation crab meat inside which is what I prefer, wrapper itself and the filling was just absolutely perfect and I am a very picky eater. I have tried crab lagoons from every Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been around and these are truly the best I’ve ever had. I also also came here to eat with someone who has never eaten Thai food , he got the general chicken he had only ever eaten Chinese food not that you can compare the two, but for those who have not tried Thai food before , he said it was the best dish he ever had and loved it , also he ordered the chicken at a spice level 3 and said it was not spicy at all and could have gotten a level 5 , my dish I got zero spicy, this place deserves only 5 star reviews. The waitress was very very helpful for helping us decide on the best dish to order based on your preference. Also this is my second time vacationing here and by far truly the best restaurant in the area I really recommend at least trying once , because I’ve gotten Thai food many times from every restaurant around my home town and nothing compares. Also I do not mean any disrespect by saying this , but I do love Chinese food but this is 10x better and for anyone not sure if they want to try Thai food I would choose this over Chinese any day and I did not try the fried rice but it is on the menu here aand I can only imagine that it’s delicious. I even got take out on my way home...
Read moreWe arrived on a busy, rainy Saturday evening, Labor Day weekend. We we're very grateful to grab the last table available. The table itself was jammed in between two others, although it wasn't as awkward as I thought it was going to be. We put in our orders for drinks, appetizers, soup and entree all at once, not realizing they would come out all at once, except for two cocktails that didn't arrive until the end of the meal. They hadn't delivered the silverware or all the waters before the food came out. It also was hard to get the attention of the wait staff to ask for our drinks. I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp, and a Tom Yum Soup. The soup was swell with the exception of the one under ripe cherry tomato floating in it. The noodles we're good as well, and the shrimp tasted fresh. My husband got the Drunken Noodle with duck. It contained maybe smallish 5 pieces of duck, but tasted good. My kids got eggrolls and tofu Pad Thai. They complained the Pad Thai was too sweet. Too sweet for a kid? I didn't believe it until I tasted it. It wasn't like any Pad Thai I had ever had. It was very sweet and quite red in color. No one in the family found it all that appetizing.. I'd have to say if you hit them on a good night maybe Thai House would be excellent, but too many things we're off for us to call it a good experience. The clincher was when my husband questioned the $19 for the Drunken Noodle with duck as it was stated as 16.95, and they just basically said "Oops, we forgot to update the price on the menu". Yeah it is just $2, but uncool. You can't...
Read moreThis is my first visit to Marquette. My family visited a few beaches around town and we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful and serene a place this is. Just like that, time flew by and our day came quickly to an end and have to find some dinner for the entire family. After we Google a few restaurants and decided on Asian food to cape off an excitement filled day.
We went for a curbside pick up at Thai House. Of course we have to order Pad Thai (that is what you do at Thai eateries), Chicken Satay and a chicken red curry dish. The presentation was very average but I was in awe with how effective the chef was with my dinner. He/she was able to infuse all the common flavors of Thai cuisine in rhyme and harmony with every item on the dish; fish sauce, tamarind, sugar, carrots, eggplant and so on. It was very satisfied to say the least.
I am very critical on food that is why my rating is not a 5 star. Here are a few items that I thought could be better; the Pad Thai noodle can be better. By using this type of noodle, it is prone to breaking, gets sticky, flat looking and dried noodle slightly have a not so fresh smell and taste even though flavors were bountiful and again the presentation can be better. The curry was just a slight watery, grandma makes her so thick and rich. Again, this is my preference.
Woo! That was a mouthful. Overall I would recommend this place and will return if we visited again...
