We park at the bottom and hike the full lap through, past black rocks and around to the pavilion. Takes about 1.5 hours if you don't hurry and have a tendency to meander (we do) The views and opportunities to take photos abound, sunsets in the summer and fall are spectacular, as they would be I'd imagine in the winter. Marquette is an old City and has magic all around it. You just have to ask friendly locals where the really cool hikes are. (Little Garlic Falls). And if you're up this way you had better stop by Lakenenland, say hi to Tom and check out the 100+ enormous metal-art Sculpture Park that's free (donations accepted) and not far from Munising or Marquette. I'm not using any hyperbole at all when I say it's one of the coolest things in the UP. And that's saying something.

Took a video of the water, left to right, shore to shore. It's about 13 seconds long. You can hear the wildlife. Beautiful. I absolutely love it. Even being a cloudy day, still a good one. This is a fantastic city. No special event going today here. Being a "youthful" city you would think someone somewhere is holding some kind of fest, entertainment, parade, or anything. I'd love to. Who or whom do I speak to. I think every April 20th, we should have a recreational area indoor/outdoor venue where you have the opportunity to choose your method and ask questions, educate, sponsor, support, create, etc awareness on your local dispenserys

This is a really nice park. We visited it in the daytime and it was lovely. We came back at night because we wanted to look for Yooperlites and there were a lot of cars parked and not a lot of lights in the parking area, if any. It seemed a little sketchy. We looked for rocks anyway and everything was fine. I took a beautiful picture of the moon on the water here.

It's an ok place, nothing special about it. Playground is great with a picnic area. But the tables on the edge along side the parking lot seems to be a last second thought by someone. & it doesn't help when people toss hotdog buns out their car window attracting a couple dozen filthy seagulls next to you when you trying to eat lunch & it just makes them a**hole when they do this & then drive off. (Happens fairly often). People stop feeding them. They are filthy. & it ruin lunch or dinner for anyone trying...
