The Pasta Shop — Restaurant in Marquette

This was my first time ordering pasta shop since I moved away from Marquette 3-4 years ago. I was in town and decided to order take out, remembering how good the homemade noodles were. Was told by the worker they don't make any of their pasta anymore. The new noodles are subpar compared to what they use to serve. Hopefully they switch back to making fresh fettuccine soon. The sauces and chicken have always been just okay, it was the homemade noodles that put this place on the map.

Interestingly the website and menu still states, "Your choice of homemade Spaghetti, Linguini or Fettuccini" --- which is no longer the truth according the worker I spoke with today...Kind've...

We did not see the no indoor dining reviews, that is on us. After walking 1.2 miles to get a pasta dish, discovered no indoor dining. Proceeded to order, ate on the picnic table outdoors, pasta was mediocre at best. We are 5 weeks into a 7 week road trip including the upper midwest, we've dined out a lot. I can state The Pasta Shop was our worst dining experience of our trip. Once back at our hotel, I noted a surcharge for paying with a credit card. This practice by many restaurants these days to nickel and dime everything is repulsive. Every time I call and order whoever answers the phone sounds so incredibly annoyed to be taking my order. Very rude, every time without fail. I was placed on hold on the phone for 11 minutes straight, at which point I hung up and called back and was promptly placed on hold again without an explanation or an apology whatsoever! Oh the second hold was only another 7 minutes! Is that customer service to be proud of??? I’m all about supporting local businesses especially now, but it’s difficult to be treated like a nuisance every time I try. Its definitely NOT worth it. Avoid this place, until they train their employees to even act like they could care...
