As a frequent guest in my younger years..I couldn't recommend this place enough~!! Some of my fondest memories are from visiting this museum with my family between the ages of 4 and 10. I remember naming all the turtles, playing restaurant in the Stone Area with my parents, pretending to run a grocery store with a few of the other kids, launching beach balls in the airport area with the wind machine..and even this one time where someone came in and did a presentation with a very large snake (a python I think?) and I got to hold it on my shoulders. I even remember when they first got that new anatomy area with that big head....though I'll be honest, I'm VERY glad that it received a make over!
I can't thank this business enough for giving me so many happy childhood memories and I hope one day I can bring my own kids here! If you can't take the satisfied review of an adult who used to come here for years and years as a kid and can undeniably tell you that I had the time of my life, then I don't know what else will convince you. I wish you all the best and hope that this place can give your kids some great times to look...
Read moreWe brought our 9 and 10 year-old children here for an afternoon. They were very well entertained for two hours and we probably could have stayed longer. They enjoyed playing in the grocery store, enjoyed the airplane, news casting on the green screen, and playing inside a human head. They have a really good variety of exhibits and so many opportunities to look, touch, and play.
The museum is a little worn, which the kids don't care about, except that it means some things weren't functional. The telephones were really cool, but you can barely hear each other. The kids were really excited to see the recycling center and wanted to create something new, but it was so messy and disorganized that they abandoned it almost immediately, and the electricity exhibit would be so well served by the circuit they can close to light things up, but it doesn't work.
It was a fun time, good value, and I would highly recommend going (I think any age up to 11 or 12 would really enjoy this), just know that a few exhibits...
Read moreWe always love coming to children's museum and have a great experience! Today there was a lady name Chris (it was on her name tag) who was smiley, friendly, and helpful! We observed her working hard and interacting with the customers answering any questions they had! We were appalled when another employee yelled at her from across (something along the lines of she needs to be doing her job better)the room- multiple adults and kids could hear! It was very inappropriate! I am not sure what Chris was doing wrong but she sure looked like she was working hard and doing a great job by everyone else! I hope this lady was just having a bad day and doesn't yell like this at other employees (especially publicly) on a regular basis- definitely would be a hostile work environment! The children's museum is great and this whole post is to make sure Chris knows all of us who seen that- we think u are doing a GREAT JOB, we're embarrassed for you and are sorry u had to experience that! We...
