My girlfriend and I have been playing at the Tulalip resort and casino for about 5 years now, a handful of times per year as we are from out of town. We always eat at the Blackfish when we stay at the hotel or in our motor coach in the FREE RV lot! We have never found the restaurant to be more than a 3.5 on any given experience over our 20 plus visits. They have a glass cooking area in a semi circle central location for patrons to view their meals being fired on a open flame. The local indigenous theme, local fresh fish choices and honey butter have kept us coming back even though we always have problems of some sort. We have watched this establishment slowly deteriorate to the point no reservations are required. The place is a ghost town most nights. We will never be returning as they have dropped the ball in so many ways this place has become a 2 at best. (with 5 star pricing) When we had our issues last night of which we only communicated one because of poor first impressions of the manager (Jessie Rinell-Schumsky) that we did not want to waste our breath. This place needs a attitude, management and back of house overhaul! The fact that no one responds to reviews alone shows how bad this place has become. Warning if you think you can have more than 2 feature cocktails in 4 hours you can't????...
Read moreWe ate here 3 weeks ago. The food was great, the service was great. We were so impressed that we told our friends to eat here and wrote a great reveiw online. So when we needed to go to the airport last night we decided to drive an extra hour out of the way just to come back and eat here.
Wish we wouldn't have. The service was horrible. The flatbread seemed like it had been sitting out for days. Ordered the same meal we ordered last time the bounty bowel. It was horrible and one of the ingredients is supposed to be lobster. It didn't have any lobster. $34 bowel and I could have ordered better fish at Dennys. The salmon that my friend ordered was dry and tiny. My husband had halbit and it was the worst fried mess you have ever seen. After we ate the waitress cleared our table and went to help another group and never came back. We waited for 25 min to get our check. The manager was walking around the whole time looking like she had nothing to do so we asked her for our check and she acted like she was just too busy to help us and we were a bother to her. We will never return to this restraunt. Worst $100...
Read moreProbably the best restaurant on the Tulalip Casino premise. The quality of food there is always great. And service, well, it depends on your server. I've had good servers and bad ones. My absolute go-to server is Maria and she is bomb. She knows the menu like the back of her hand and can always suggest modifications based off of your needs. She's super attentive and friendly and greatly cares if you've enjoyed your meal. Their seafood is always fresh and I love their oysters. The steamed clams and french onion soups are bomb (though the french onion can be a bit salty at times... I usually request a bit of hot water and mix it in). I alway go for the seafood/steak board where I can piece by yums together. I like to food on the lighter side, so I always ask the chef to hold on the oil, salt and pepper when grilling. The food always comes out deliciously yum. I love love the mushroom relish sauce and mushroom risotto. You'll need to give them both a try if you've never had it before.
I do wish that they would bring the berry soufflé's back, but I guess that's not...
