Sundin Fields at Heritage Oak Park — Attraction in Mason

Beautiful park with well-maintained fields and plenty of open space. Great spot for soccer, baseball, or just enjoying a walk. The grounds are clean, parking is usually easy, and it feels safe and family-friendly. It’s a nice community space where kids and adults can enjoy sports and outdoor time.

As a veteran park reviewer, having evaluated over 100 parks and playgrounds, I regularly inspect this playground and am consistently delighted with its exceptional condition. As the former Mason Parks and Recreation Director responsible for its 2001 installation, I remember addressing initial concerns about the roller slide, which have since been allayed. Notably, I have installed over 25 playgrounds featuring the same LSI roller slide since 2001. We found this place a few weeks ago when we visited for the first time. We went there to check out the skate board area with our son. He loves it and we have been back at least four times already. He is just learning how to skate board and likes the ramps here because they have some that aren’t too high and he can ride on them with limited skate boarding experience.

The rest of the park is alright. It needs some maintenance work. It seems older and run down. It has a ton of basketball courts with lots of people playing pick up games. It has some baseball...
