Dollar Tree — Attraction in Matthews

This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. The employee, Sean, was unbelievably rude, with an attitude so disrespectful and unprofessional that it left me shocked. I’ve never been treated this way, and I can’t understand how someone with such a negative demeanor could still be employed. Shawn’s hostility not only made me feel uncomfortable but also embarrassed me in front of everyone.

It got even worse when he threatened to remove us from the store because my 18-month-old was squeezing a toy. He even threatened to call the police over it! Anyone with young children knows how challenging it can be to shop with a toddler, and to be humiliated this way was truly disappointing. This is not just a minor issue—his behavior is driving loyal customers away. I strongly urge management to reconsider having someone like him representing their business. Laura is truly the backbone of this Dollar Tree. She’s always there, working her butt off day in and day out seriously, it’s like she’s holding the whole store together by herself. This location is by far the cleanest and most organized Dollar Tree I’ve seen in all of Charlotte, and that’s all thanks to her dedication and hard work.

She’s having to work open to close almost every single day because she doesn’t have reliable staff and honestly, it should be illegal to make someone work that much. No one should be expected to carry that kind of load alone.

Give this woman a raise AND a break. She’s beyond deserving of both. THIS STORE WOULDNT EVEN OPEN ON A DAILY BASIS IF IT WASNT FOR HER !!!! Dollar tree needs to be thanking her with MORE...

Store worker Sean disrespected my whole family including my two little kids because they were playing with a squishy toy with sound. He threatened with calling the cops if me, my wife and the kids didn’t leave the store, yelling to us in front of everybody, we already had a cart full of things we were going to buy and had to leave it and get out of the store.
