Had more fun, needed to add to It⦠lol thanks for the drive shafts you guys. As promised, they worked like a charm!!!
Traxxas Customer Service is the GOLDEN standard of after sale support. Iād give a better rating than 5 due to my experience with this company. I never feel like Iām calling a company. This is a different flavor.. Traxxas for Me Multiple times, is more than your humble uncle that gives you fancy unique gifts at Christmas and Easter, has a slick car and lets you drive it... They supported my issues way beyond my expectations, and had my specific parts I needed: on the invoices they always say the date of purchase is sent out. Referenced the date of phone call. šš¼šš¼šš¼.
Iām in Ontario, and shipping from Mckenny Tx. was 2 weeks. you cannot blame traxxas at all for the shipping times especially during these covid times... but every item I received was individually packed extremely well and you know straight when you open it, that they really do want you to receive your goods like they intended them to be installed as. If I could come down and meet you guys I would take the time to. Thank you for supporting my 10 year old race truck! Lol. 95 km/h!!! With the street tires!!
This is my Traxxas E-Max Brushless. just received my 3ch Bluetooth TQI tx. Recently I purchased 2x 3s 5k mah Lipo batts and upgraded front & rear diff. I thrashed this once and stripped my brand new steel driveshaft, at 70% training, as soon as I replaced the drivetrain and the axels. Something goes wrong! Lol Always learning something !!
To those who donāt have these (I have a few others now). Itās a hobby. Things will break, and you will need to know how to replace and fix them! Yes they go fast but when they smash, itās reference to life and reality too. Smash a car into a curb fast.. anyways, for over 10 years Iāve repaired and replaced everything but the motor and transmission. I have played with gearing and thatās fun too! But donāt be afraid to get into it. Itās a lot of fun, and extremely exhilarating!
If you got this far, thanks for reading. Even further more, you can trust this company. If you have a bad/negative experience, call back. Youāll be treated like a king....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered 2 brand new Mini Maxx vehicles from their website since I don't have a local hobby store. When they showed up the outside box was damaged in one spot, one vehicle inside was fine and the other had a very small acceptable mark that was in line with the outer packaging damage. The problem was, one of the corners on the vehicle's box was crushed. No signs of the shipping box being damaged in that area. I buy 2 every time to save one and play with the other. The one that I needed to save being of a saught over color was the damaged one. I got ahold of Greg through their chat. Told him the situation and how I was sent a damaged product. He told me he would get me a RMA if I gave them some information. Also I was just asking for an exchange but he said they can't do an exchange and to just order a replacement and the other one would be refunded. So I ordered a replacement right away and gave them my information. He sent me a number, no shipping label or anything. I asked him and he said I would have to send it back if I wanted it returned. He said, "you should just keep it in my opinion, you probably won't get one before the holidays" I reminded him I collect these things and need an undamaged product that I paid for. He said it's my responsibility to send it back eventhough they sent me damaged product. I asked for his supervisor and he said there is a lot of them. I asked the name of who he reports to and he said he reports to a lot of people. I will be calling in the morning and if by some chance they make this right I might come back in and edit this. It is ridiculous that this is happening, their shipping department shipped me something that is damaged, I paid $20 more than in-store which I suppose goes to shipping cost but times that by 3 now since I ordered another one due to Gary, and they want me to pay to return it because of something they did but won't even acknowledge that. Traxxas's customer service is absolute garbage and leaves them with so much room for improvement. Step up your game Traxxas and take care of your customers like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a big fan of Traxxas for a long time. From their different models to the overall performance, but most of all I have really enjoyed their online support. From the inter active exploded drawings, to their amazing parts lists. I was a big fan of the electronics lifetime warranty.... until I tried to use it.
I had bought a Rustler VXL and owned it for a month or two and the speed control started smoking while using NiMh battery. At the time I wasnāt aware of the warranty and just went out and bought a new motor speed control (the exact same one). Nearly 10 years later I decided I would use the warranty and put the motor and speed control into another vehicle for my son.
I called into Traxxas and asked if it still qualified for the warranty, the support personnel told me that it did and set me up for the return. I received an email conforming that they had received it and theyād contact me after they inspected it.
I received an email to call them, so I did. They then informed me that warranty only covered the first month and that theyād sell me a new motor speed control combo for half price. I wasnāt told any of that by the customer support employee and so I asked that they just send me back my equipment. The motor was in near perfect shape and I just figured I could use that on my current Rustler if I needed. They agreed and told me theyād send it back.
I then received a call a little later telling me that they had already recycled my parts and wouldnāt be able to return them. They said theyād keep my info and would only be able to sale me another combo at the 50% price when I was ready.
Needless to say Iām a little upset and feel like I should have been given more info about the warranty process before hand. I feel like I was setup for a little bait and switch. They probably just refurbished the parts and sold them for a profit.
I donāt think Iāll be doing much business or recommending...
