I recently had surgery performed by Dr Jason Ross, after having several prior visits due to an infection that neither my PCP nor Urgent Care physician were able to manage, due to it's location. I've had several visits with Dr Ross over a 3+ month period. Dr Ross has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very kind & overtly cares about his patients. In addition & more importantly, he is a great clinician! He diagnosed the cause of my infection & expected outcome with expertise. After the infection cleared, I elected for surgery. Dr Ross walked me through it. My surgery results are great! Dr Ross called me @ home the night of my surgery to check on my initial recovery & see if I had concerns. The office staff @ Florida Eye Associates efficient & helpful. JoAnne, Dr Ross' assistant, is efficient & so nice! I've met, or had testing done by Sara, & "Jay," & they are both excellent. Julie, Betty are some of the office staff I've dealt with & they are very nice, as is Jodi, surgery coordinator. ** I am one reason Dr Ross ran late on the day on my initial visit. Every one was rude except the front desk. They sent me home with Glasses that were too big for me and kept coming off I took them back 2 days later and I showed the girl she said she could fix them. She bent the stems and sent me home. Glasses were still too big for me and were hurting my temples. I went back on the 03/04 24 because lenses were defected and glasses were too big. A man tested my glasses and then left the room stating he would have to test them somewhere else I was there 5 minutes and he came back .He had me read the chart with my glasses on I struggled threw this process. Then I saw Dr. Wiesner and he also was rude He said I should have told them the glasses were too big for me. I thought I was just picking the style because they were the only ones there, I also thought they would get the right size for me. Was I wrong. I had been looking for a new eye doctor and Florida Eye Associates had great reviews. I was not disappointed. I have been struggling getting a correct diagnosis for over 20 years because of my lazy eye. Other eye doctors have insisted on putting me in glasses even when I complained about headaches and that the prescription didn't seem right so I always left disappointed. It was my first visit and I thought, "Well, here we go again. Let's see what they say.". I was shocked and so relieved when I spoke with the eye doctor and he informed me contacts would help greatly even with my lazy eye I've been struggling with. I asked him, "No glasses?" He explained that glasses do not work with my vision and explained why they don't work.
