Too pricey. And most importantly, staff is not welcoming, or accommodating to big groups or people who don’t look them. We called ahead of time to notify them we had a big group and to reserve a spot for day but didn’t specify time. At the end of conversation, they said ´okay’ but did not ask for our name for the reservation or ask that we arrive by a certain time etc. So, we showed-up when it fit our schedule. upon arrival, they said we should have called. We DID call - and their site doesn’t make it mandatory to call unless we had a certain number, we had less than that number. We did them a favor by calling, but we got slapped in the face for it. Also, the place was EMPTY when we arrived, it’s not until we were done, that people began pouring in. Note to manager/owner: it’s not the customer’s problem you don’t know how to manage your establishment’s reservation. furthermore, they never took the time to explain how anything works around the place, since it was our first time. Also, there was a huge bowl of chocolates, and my two and 4 year olds helped themselves to 3 each (6total). The bowl was taken away- why? Funny thing- I went back to pick up the finished ceramics without the rest of my family (I look more like them, while my family does not), the same person who greeted us helped me find my ceramics was all of a sudden so sweet and so helpful...another note: you ain’t fooling anybody, lady. Overall poor customer service and RUDE (there is another word for it really, but I decline to say it). Oh and we called to complain directly to manager and owner, to avoid a negative review and to give them a chance to explain, but they never called back. So classy! (I would put Zero stars if it...
Read moreI've been going here since I was young. I love this place, I drive about 40 minutes each way to get here because that's how much I do enjoy it. however, the last time I went was a different story. the girl working behind the counter was not very welcoming. I wrote it off & went about my time & completed my piece, which took hours as it was super detailed. about a week later, I went to pick it up, only to find out they had broken it. I was super bummed, considering all the points mentioned above. I know it wasn't their fault, & I guess this is on me, but I figured maybe they would at least cover the cost for me to redo it. I asked the girl (same one who was borderline rude) if I could redo it there or at least take home the stuff to redo my piece & bring it back for them to fire it (which I had done before) & they told me that I would have to pay for it. I understand accidents happen, but for them to not compensate for their mistake was a huge drawback. I love this place, & im not going to stop business with them based on one experience, but it was a huge...
Read moreThis is a new review added on- 12/3/24- I wanted to add on to my previous review and add Molly. She’s so nice and very artistic. She has shown me new techniques that I’m really enjoying. Once again, when you go to Get Fired Up Pottery, you are really treated with that personal touch! It has truly become such an enjoyable and peaceful part of my week! Thanks Molly!!
I have been going to Get Fired Up weekly for over a year now. It has become like a sanctuary for me. I can be creative and peaceful at the same time. What sets this place apart from other ceramic studios is the staff. Skylar always has a big smile on her face. She is knowledgeable and extremely encouraging. I’m my toughest critic, and she always has compliments. She even remembers pieces that I did months ago. She makes it feel like you’re part of the “family”. Maria (the owner) and McKenna are also very sweet, knowledgeable, and add to the inviting, welcoming atmosphere . It’s like the show “Cheers” where everybody knows your name....
