So far, the best thing I can say about my experience at La-z-boy Furniture is that they exceed the expectation on delivery of our custom couch and love seat. Unfortunately since then, service has been underwhelming. We spend a great deal of care and shopping to find exactly what my wife wanted for our largest furniture purchase to date in 32 years of marriage. What we ended up with was twice as expensive as we've ever gotten and I have buyers remorse. The custom, full leather couch came with a nick in the seat back that we pointed out immediately to the white glove delivery person who assured us we'd get a replacement asap and the missing care kit would be dropped off on their next trip in to our area. Neither happened. We contacted the store after a week of hearing nothing and were told to come in and see a staff member, which we did about the weeks later due to our schedule. After speaking with the manager because our rep no longer works for them, we were assured the replacement was ordered and would be on the way soon. That was two months ago and we've heard crickets. We did get the leather kit but it was basically useless as it was more of a cleaner and no leather conditioner for after cleaning. I really thought buying from a reputable company would be the best choice after getting garbage furniture from other stores over the years but apparently it's not even good paying $15k for two pieces. They look nice but I've already noticed a stitching issue in the love seat seat cushion that will likely rip before we've had the thing a year. It's not like this was Walmart great value stuff. Read moreWe ordered a new couch from La-z-boy back in June. Our very charming sales person, Chad, told us that we were his last sale before he retired, and introduced us to another designer, Jane. We assumed this meant he was handing us off to her. We were assured we could check the status of the progress of our sofa on the company website. Wrong! This never happened. We were also told we would get notice a couple of weeks before it shipped. Well, this never happened either. Last week my husband called again & they said it would ship in 5 days time. On a hunch, I called the store and was told it was already in the Memphis warehouse. Mind you, no one ever called us. So we set an appointment to have it delivered. We received notification yesterday that it would be delivered between 11-2, and that the driver would call when on his way. Around 1 pm, the truck pulled up to our house unannounced. The drivers did not have shoe protection or paper to protect my hardwood floors, and one of them smelled of weed. The sofa is exactly what we wanted, but their customer service...
Read moreI have to give mixed reviews regarding my recent purchase. My husband’s recliner is really comfortable and he loves it. Lazy Boy has always had a reputation for being the best. Well not true on the reclining loveseat I purchased with the recliner. There is so little padding in the seats that makes your tooshie very sore. The Middle arm was supposedly a hidden compartment but it is not secure and flops around like a cheap woman. To pay $2500 it was not worth it. The floor model didn’t have this problem that I would remember. Try o top it off, no returns so that I can buy a better one from them. I feel taken advantage of since I paid a high delivery fee and tip for something that I loathe.
UPDATE: They attempted to resolve my issue which took weeks and it is now worse! The loveseat doesn’t line up and it is torture to sit on or recline back. Totally unacceptable and last year we bought this before I knew that I had kidney cancer. At this point I would prefer to return and spend more money on a product that will be more...
